Will it not be possible to add a different and modern interface like Linux Cinnamon or XFCE to AROS? At one stage there was AEROS in development

@Joe_RSA

No, but you can now add ScalOS to Linux, which opens gate to way more Amiga like apps

Compared to MOS and OS4 AROS does need a facelift.

I recommend original OS 4.0 theme

I would be glad if new(?) improvements on AmigaNGs would bring really useful changes to the GUI, most of it's still stuck where it was when C= got bankrupt and adding those colorful toolbars to the system doesn't give you a better (and integrated) file manager.

@vox Amikit does look good in blue. That rabbit hole functionality above Linux does give some edge to run the latest apps. However, I think AROS x86 will give an edge with an updated interface. We also need a dev framework running like .NET, react, java to write the latest and greatest of apps for the amiga platform.

@Joe_RSA

I believe Jan could facelift AROS if agreed for some donations.

Give devs tools, give users apps. Why not porting Ambient
and then Iris and Wayfarer with cross MOS team license and some donations?

AROS ARM x64 m68k PPC32 x86

If I pick Linux GUI, most basic LXDE or so and that nice MATE
