Start of Mondaymorning rant.
Initiating this topic took a couple of minutes, nearly 3 to be honest. It involves logging in, selecting the correct forum and initiating this topic. Is the server this site is running on, clockspring operated? And if so, can then somebody please wind up that thing? Of late it is ssssooooo vvvvveeeeerrrrryyyyyyy ssssssslllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwww, you know...
End of Mondaymorning rant.

I've spoken to former staff. No joy.
Lead technician for Amigaworld and Amiga.org seems to be Chris Follett. You might be able to voice your concern about this by sending him a message at Amiga.org.
There are many broken pieces beyond the connect issues actually. Recently someone had volunteered to join AW and give some insight and answer question for Commodore....and was flagged as a bot and refused membership. Issue on that is we had to solve that ourselves, since no one seems too interested in keeping things afloat here.
You are not alone. None of us are happy about all this. Sorry.

According to THIS thread the clock has been wound up and indeed it feels a lot more responsive. Quite a lot more, actually! Good work. Appreciated.
