KABOOMANIA - AGA Retro Maze Bomber - with brand new soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck!

Hello,

I just can't resist sharing the current status of my work.

(Alpha screenshots of the older 32-color version)

What's it all about? Well, my game KABOOMANIA is going to be a new 128-color AGA retro maze bomber – with an exclusive, brand-new soundtrack by music wizard Chris Huelsbeck (Turrican, Giana Sisters, Apidya, Katakis, and many more)! After more than 30 years, Chris's music is finally back where it belongs: on the Amiga!

KABOMANIA comes with an old-school game concept, reinterpreted for the most modern computer in the world: Amiga 1200 (and better) . It's a new version of a classic concept, but above all with new and fresh ideas. In addition to the A 1200 (128 colors AGA), the game will (hopefully) be released for PC and mobile devices as well as all modern consoles. There will also be a Kickstarter campaign later this year. And it would be great to have YOU on board . Make a note of this link: KABOOMANIA Kickstarter

And here's what's on offer:

- 320×200 128-color pixel art
- Exclusive, brand new soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck
- Classic chaotic gameplay
- 5 beautiful worlds
- 1000 levels (!!)
- Password system
- BIG maps
- Dozens of enemies
- Crazy collectibles
- 2-player couch battle - 4 player mode planned

The game is still in development. I'm aiming for a Kickstarter campaign in Q1 of this year, with a release probably in the middle/end of the year. But there will be a first playable demo available by the time the Kickstarter campaign launches at the latest. Until then, I'll keep you up to date in this post and thread! And of course on https://www.kaboomania.com

And last but not least, here's a little preview of what you can expect. Since my graphic designer is still working on the AGA assets, here's an older Alpha Let's Play of the 32-color version (minor bugs included): https://youtu.be/DtR_RocusS8. So it's all going to be a bit more colorful. But at least you can already sing along to Maestro Huelsbeck's first track.

Greetings, Axel

And here's another Let's Play of my upcoming game KABOOMANIA. It shows the first 3 minutes of the game – this time with almost all of the AGA assets from the first world: https://youtu.be/JF4FXEqDvts
I'd also like to highlight what I think is a fantastic brand new title track by Chris Huelsbeck.

I've also added some brand new screenshots in my first post here.
So things are progressing. A first playable demo is also not too far away.

And finally some more screenshots of the current version.
