@AMIGASYSTEM

I would be very happy if you added the game to the AROS One distribution.
All my Amiga games are freeware. You are generally free to redistribute them via your distribution without prior authorization.

Unfortunately, the current AROS version of the game is a bit slow. I plan to program a new, faster version. That version will also be available on Aminet once it is ready.

@A500Fan

Thanks for your efforts on the game, it is really good.

Here it is running in AmiBrowser on the A600GS:

I understand this to mean that this game scratches you where it itches; correct me if I'm wrong. But it makes sense

Not exactly friend Simplex,
I was rather thinking of venereal diseases, parasites and such.

BUT!

ALLOW ME TO PRESENT YOU ALL WITH THE COMMODORE 64 VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ruben

I encountered the same problem also, although it did allow me to proceed at my own risk and download the game for AmigaOS4. As mentioned in another post sound works fine on the X5k/AOS4, but game play is rather slow.

The port has a fatal flaw: the graybeards' facial hair is neither gray nor a beard. Plus, it involves all the defects of the Commodore 64, starting with its inferior CPU. (Should have used the real deal from Motorola, not a knockoff.***) So the original keeps the crown in my book.

That said, the "VOOORRRRR" iss a lovely touch. As is the redirection of "amigaverse.net"'s home page to a Google search.

Sometimes I see something online and think about how too many people have way too much time on their hands, but both games presented in this thread are top-notch, exactly the sort of work we ought to be dedicating our multi-core, gpu-assisted, massive-memory, unimaginable-bandwidth machines.

***I apologize for the inevitable derailing of this thread that this simple statement of fact is about to induce.

@simplex

Thanks for the kind words friend Simplex.

As far as time availability goes, let's please differentiate!
It costed old MRJM just 15 minutes or so to inject some clever dithering code into that thing, and host it in my 𝖽̶𝗎̶𝗇̶𝗀̶𝖾̶𝗈̶𝗇̶ server farm!

Our Kölner friend here, A500Fan,
on the other hand must have poured quite a few afternoons of fighting with AI and Hollywood, on patching together this major bootlicking exercise!

/M!

You may have misunderstood me. As far as time & resources, I was referring merely to the computing resources we Amiga fans spend on these two pastimes. (The original and the MJRM sequel.)

As for the time put into the creation thereof, ars gratia artis and all that; I have no objection to the existence of either.

If you did not misunderstand me and were merely riffing off my mention of computing resources to mak a larger point, then never mind. I can be slower than molasses in winter, even in the summer.

@A500Fan

Thank you. Super Trevor Land is also compatible with 64-bit AROS via the 32-bit emulator ‘Emuv0’ (see the screenshot link); using a special icon script, you can run it from Wanderer simply by clicking on it.

I can confirm that Super Trevor Land runs a bit slowly on AROS; I hope this can be improved!

Nice little game,

Kinda amazing to hear Ai was able to port the game to html so easily, tell you what we got to get one trained up on AmigaOS code, so it could do the same trick the other way.
