| As a result of the uA1-C SODIMM issue (no one can confirm existence of an SODIMM that will work with the uA1-C in 512MB or 1GB sizes), I tried to email Mai Logic at the following email addresses: support info webmaster root marketing jobs
All of them bounce. Their phone number is still active, but this isn't an excellent sign. Anyone have a valid email address for MAI Logic?
I'll try calling them on Monday if need be. _________________ Are we not done with the same silly arguments and flames yet??! |

| @wegster Wrong tree. Contact your own dealer first. Then try other dealers. After that try Eyetech.
I know my dealer (LiveWire) had 512MB modules available. 1GB modules do not exist AFAIK. _________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

I've done the above already. (my dealer, other dealers, EyeTech). Fed up with the lack of knowledge that should be available easily from EyeTech.
If Livewire has 512MB modules in stock, I'll give them a call on Monday, thanks.

From what my manual says, the board uses a 144 pin SODIMM. But no more details. Now, I have been told that this item is hard to find. But it may have been used in the PowerBooks.
Mine says "Apacer", but there is no listing for the part number on their website.
Kingston does return listings for a unbuffered PC133 SODIMM CL3, but it might not be the right one. |

| @terminator Crucial likewise, also has SODIMMs available, pc133, cas3, 144 pin. They should work, but this info should be available from Eyetech or MAI, neither of which seem to be available for comment at the moment. The current largest SODIMM that has a direct link to purchasing it appears to be 512MB, although Apacer's siter seems to list a 1GB part (I've emailed them as well)
There's a seperate thread on the uA1-C SODIMMs, would rather not see this turn into a duplicate- I really just wanted to know if anyone in recent times has any success in contacing Mai, and if so, by what email address?

So none of the dealers you have contacted will sell you a SODIMM? Weird. You'd think they were into sales et al._________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

I agree. Some of the dealers I was unable to contact at all however, so I'm not saying I did in fact reach every dealer. I'll try again on Monday, but note that there are other people posting asking the same questions, so it very likely is not just the dealers I've contacted that don't know about other RAM...

I mailed two blanks for them 1 hour ago (jobs, marketing) and they didn't bounced back, at least yet. So maybe they are alive.

| @mlehto That's strange. MIne showed they were mostly redirected to pamh@mai.com or similar, then bounced with unknown user...let me know if they come back eventually.
Jobs and marketing both bounced as well as webmaster and the others..

Sorry, should've posted that in the original thread about SO-DIMMs, but I forgot which thread I was in. ^^; Just was pointing a fellow to the 'egg. Maybe a mod could move it there? |

shrug- invalid URL, but I'm supposing you're pointing to yet another pc133 144 pin 512MB SODIMM, which everyone knows exists, but no one has verified compatibility, nor found a resource for a 1GB SODIMM.
NewEgg lists 2 512MB SODIMMS, and has stock of neither currently....so not too sure of what use this is?

nah it's cool. Just didn't know what you were trying to indicate with the link.
Feel free to re-post it again in the proper thread.

MAI isn't broke, they're alive and well and working on the Articia P and other delights. Don't try to contact them for a question it's your dealer's job to answer. Same applies to Eyetech: they're far too busy as it is without doing someone else's job for them.
Really, your best bet is to contact your dealer, and if for any reason (s)he's not answering (dealers need holidays too, folks), then you can consult Intuitionbase, ask here or on the Amigaone ML on Yahoo - but please tell people where you live so that whoever replies has an idea of what's available in your area. |
