The right looks like the soldering points for a 440 PPC. Hit or miss? _________________ This signature is in the middle of a much needed facelift! |

It seems that Vidale Enrico of Virtualworks/Bitplane isn't too happy with you posting the "clue". What's the problem? Last edited by polka. on 08-Sep-2006 at 01:04 PM.

Hm, counting the solder pads in the middle of the R/H square in clue #2 corresponds with the count of the balls in the corresponding square of a 440PPC, so you might be right there!

Yep, I counted 6x6 in the inner square and a 5 pin boarder in the outer frame. That fits with the 440PPC. The rest of the detective work is up to tarbos. _________________ This signature is in the middle of a much needed facelift! |

Can't find any clue there, or do you mean we just get to see a "clue" of the new hardware at the exhibition? That would be rather disappointing.
Edit: I just saw the website has been corrected (just still need to remove a "b" from "pubblic") and adjusted:

Amiga OS 4 is the latest, long awaited version of the Amiga's Operating System. We were hoping to celebrate this edition of the event with the final pubblic release of OS4. Sadly this has not been possible, but we're anyway preparing a suprise for you! |
Ok, so no OS4 final with "new hardware". As expected we might say...Last edited by polka. on 08-Sep-2006 at 01:17 PM. Last edited by polka. on 08-Sep-2006 at 01:16 PM.

I don't understand. So you speak Italian, understood what he wrote and might be able to translate it for us? Cheers & Woof._________________ This signature is in the middle of a much needed facelift! |

Babelfish isn't perfect, but you can get a very good idea...

heyvid is a little unhappy with the post, but I think the damage is minimal and Ikir will be forgiven . I think it's good avertising for Pianeta Amiga.

I think ( but is just a my thought) that Vidale Enrico was upset and worried for bad feedback of clue#1.
Will get a better or worse feedbcak about clue#2?
I hope better... |

The PPC440GRx of AMCC can run up to 667MHz with Gigabit ethernet and other nice things like onchip SSL and IPSec acceleration!

Depends... Usually up to 667Mhz, only the 440Gx also up to 800Mhz.
edit: Arggh, I lost, being the last... But at least nobody mentioned the Gx Last edited by polka. on 08-Sep-2006 at 01:22 PM.
