Hello everybody!

I thought I'd release a beta version of DOpus4 to a wider audience. I've fixed and changed a few things since last time, so check out the history file. Feel free to report any issues in this thread. The archive is available at:

http://www.zerohero.se/DOpus-4.18.27-OS4.lha

The main selling point of this release would probably be the working progress bars. Also I've implemented the 'Version' command again, but it displays the version of selected files instead of what it used to do.

Regards,
Joachim Birging

@zerohero

Thanks for the update I'm in love with 4.18.22 for my Sam and will try this new version out tonight

Just wondering if this version fixes the memory reading double at the bottom of the screen i.e values for fast & chip ram are the same so my 1Gb ram in my Sam reads close to 2Gb total?

@klx300r

Readings are the same still.

Fast & chip ram are holdovers from the classic version & are meaningless with OS4. In config, System/Clocks, untick "Memory monitor". Free memory readings in OS4.1 are not accurate anymore with the new memory system in 4.1.

@sundown

makes sense..thanks! I must admit though that seeing those numbers so often over the years with my classic miggys has become etched in my subconscious

@zerohero

Thanks for this update, the progress bars are most welcomed, I have installed it now and I'll test it these days.

@zerohero

Nice one, thanks! I won't be near my SAM for about a week so there's something to look forward to!

@klx300r

This version should also be safer to use on the SAM, since it's compiled with the new SDK and doesn't suffer from the old alignment issues that was caused by the old tools. Not sure how much DOpus was affected by this though.

@zerohero

I use DOpus since 2008 on my SAM daily, and I didn't find any problem, except that if you choose to iconify DOpus, the dragging on Workbench is frozen.

@german users

For those of you that uses the german locale and have a DSI everytime you copy files over other files, there is an updated locale that fixes this:

http://www.zerohero.se/DOpus4.catalog

I have no idea if other catalogs are updated or not.

@zerohero

When you run 68k programm from dopus by doubl-click by mouse, then it crashes. If you run the same programm from WB - everythink ok. We (with you) found, that it happenes only when you run it by mouse click, and works fine when run by some other way (do not remember which one).

I can test it again and write here about if you in interest (with links on that programms which works when from WB, and not when from Dopus).

Ah, yes, I remember now. I don't think it has been fixed. I'll see what I can find.

we have fixed the french catalog some month ago together (01/03/09) and the french isn't on this archive, I'm disapointed (and no french on S: also).

BTW, great progress bar
