Reading the document. It seems that the company has been surrected mid april 2009. They've put in a 75500 euros in working capital. So within that period they should have been well possible to get the hardware to version 1, being at a sellable level. Now the main question is: What exactly is it? I'm excited. And like the game played.

@Amiga_3k

But for it to be a ambitius project,it needs to be more than hw porting. Since they've allready ported os4 to other hw. But some new hw with "special" features maybe? dual core,full mem protection? other cool stuff?

But i do hope we get something like 1,8ghz or better,the amiga deserves it.
We need something high end. And hope they get the amigaone name back in the game. Liked that.

What powerfull single core PowerPC options there exist?
Aren't they all multicore, except Cell, which is heterogenous multicore.

So, SMP support might be around the corner to support next step of PowerPC.

(I'm a little bit disappoited if Hyperion gets involved in HW development, because IMO, it's better when those two are separate, we would better resist a monopoly. IMHO. It was a very good move for MOS team to start to stand alone, instead of work as the slaves of a HW company.)

and... at what price are Power CPUs available?
Are they nowdays binary compatible with PowerPC?

This is a great detective hunt by everyone!
I need more info! I can't wait until tomorrow! Argh!

That circuit-board snippet is VERY interesting:
"AmigaOne Powe..red"? "AmigaOne Powe..rPC" perhaps?

Cheers,
Graham C

@jahc

X could stand for "x86", this is what x is actually. The phenomena demo sounds like AMD PHENOM( E for 8 cores, D for 2 cores and F for 4 cores).

75 Amigans will be enough to payback your investment, so count me in for one of those AmigaOne PowerPC A-Eon whatsoever

But the x in x86 is a small one. The picture has a capital X. Not the same.

@all

Whats this base64 text that was found in the back of the little picture????

@Antique

well, if x will have to do something with Amiga... you can call her "X", a capital "X".
