@steril606

Yes, that's exactly it. Plus, what's causing the shadow to curve? (I'm pretty certain it's a shadow - it's lighter than the very dark vertical band next to it) Is it because there is some perpendicular surface right above where the image is cut off, or because the "lid" itself is curved? If it's because some object is casting a shadow, that puts a bit of a dent in the notebook theory unless there's some separate object that's been placed on the opened notebook, and that's what's casting the shadow.

@Einar

OK, that's definitely NOT a netbook/notebook mobo. So much for my theory I'll be quite curious to see what the shape really is.

No way that mainboard will fit a laptop case. Seems The Daddy is going the right direction with his towercase theory.

@CodeSmith

By the way if it's a notebook/netbook the boing ball has the wrong angle. If you rotate the book in the correct write position the ball looks not as it should. ...I guess ;)

Did you mean a "zorro" slot? Are you sure? Where?

Thx Tony . All well with you?

@all

When clicking on the "But almost" button, answering cell provides an alternate answer... but then again it is just dumb JavaScript :P

@Amiga_3k

True that. I still think there's something odd about that shape though. Maybe it's a cube case? That would be neat.

Btw, try this on the new page: click on the "not yet" box and type "FPGA" in the text box. I think we may just be getting hardware chipset emulation after all...
