Just sprung to my mind... We should count ourselves lucky we live in the internet-age now, just imagine how long we had to wait if the hints were published the old fashion way: one every month in your favorite Amiga magazine

hehe :)
marketing strategies like these wouldn't really have been possible anyway in a non-digital world of information flow...

@DAX

1.6 Gigflops is turn of the century AMD or P4, hardly cutting edge. Modern graphics processors run at 200 Gigaflops. You want to be cutting edge you should be talking teraflops...

A few questions :
1. Does it need a NET connection to take advantage of the "unique features"?
2. A user base is needed?

Σίγμα as the summation operator?
What goes beyond computing? Maybe a net cluster of AOS systems (the Tree of Souls, in the Avatar movie), with interconeXion
Something like Kaillera, or connected Amigas through a central server (like the game servers). Cloud computing maybe?

We`ll see...

32-bit CPU, actually.

You know what he means. 32 bit internally and 16 bit data bus - oft referred to as 16 bit.

But you knew this already didn't you?

@Cass

"You tell us what the chipset will do"...

Maybe a shared library set of Chipset configurations?

Maybe cloud computing WITH shared Library?

Did you knew these things about the AEON? http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=Aeon&gwp=16

@persia
What is it of "heterogeneous computing" that you fail to understand?

I think that the CPU+CustomChipSet+Ultra Powerful GPU installable on the PCE-E 16X bus, will deliver a cutting edge experience.

Moreover what the above three parts will be comprised of, we don't actually know so where do you get your numbers (1.6Gflops do you have hard evidence?) care to share?

A real shame A-eon Technologies is located at a none-google streetwise
location.

Nor is Hyperion Entertainment, which is here.

No matter how, they are not too far away from eachother

Useless info, I know... I know... I'm just not good at solving ancient Greek puzzles (or any puzzles).

@-Sam-

Sure, it's just that very often the Amiga is referred to as a 16-bit system, which, with the modern definition, is not strictly correct.

@AmigaBlitter

It was the "Tree of Knowledge," but I don't recall if this was the "first" tree or not.

Tere must be guru carbage in your GFX card memory.

Other than that. All windowsXp computers hijacked for AOS4 accelerator cluster would be pretty powerfull...
