@wawa

But it does'nt prove it is a virus. Just some garbage from memory. I guess a coldreset will solve it.

It's gonna be a dual core. Rouge confirms in one post that it's either 1, 2 or 8 cores. A few posts before that he says it's not an 8 core cpu.

Does it need a NET connection to take advantage of the "unique features"?

Here's hoping it does. AmigaOS users in general should have realized years ago that the days of modems, TFT-displays and optical drives are a thing of the past.

To Brussels it is less than 2 hours by car from my place. Maybe I should take my spy outfit and try to get more information?

Anyone solved: "Alive without breath, As cold as death. Never thirsty, ever drinking, All in mail, never clinking." yet? Might have missed it...

Alive without breath = passive cooling
As cold as death = same as above - passive cooling = cold
It can reduce automatically the cpu power or the number of core utilized.

I just hope that the thing in the first tree is not the Golden Fleece.

@wawa

It's not on purpose. I have experienced same thing a lot of times,and there are a lot of things that can cause this. I would not think hyperion would have marketing this MAP thing that way.

Besides,i am using a XP PC in this very moment,and does not experience the same thing you do.

@AmigaBlitter

"Alive without breath, As cold as death. Never thirsty, ever drinking, All in mail, never clinking."

- "never thirsty ever drinking" could mean liquid cooled,
- "never clinking" could mean no moving part (no fans, ssd hard drives..)
- "cold as death" as a result of being properly cooled (liquid cooling again)
- "alive without breath" (no fans again)

@DrZarkov

IBM used M68000's in a workstation they built - see http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=623

SGI built 68000 workstations, see the list here: http://www.linux-mips.org/wiki/Silicon_Graphics

Quite a few negative comments on amiga.org regarding specs and possible price...shame, a new Amiga is going to be out and again people are not happy.

Were they happy when 2-3 years ago there was nothing? We had no SAMs and no modern OS? I find it weird...

@freeaks

It's from The Hobbit. Riddles in the dark. It's a fish.
In the context it's given in the source code, and given it's so well-known, it's just a joke. I believe that's why no-one has bothered to comment on it thus far.
