Hyperion make software and ports on ppc platforms not ppc hardware. Bigest chanse for PPC card is form Natami team or Individual comp. Elbox. GVP or someone other are out... dont have capacity and knowledge to do that..
Storyes about preorders and minimum of 1000 pcs.before production are excuse for dont having tehnology and knowedge..... If someone aquire DCE or Phase5 shematics for ppc board we will have it... Yet again, story that its lost is funny.. lets say 100.000 euro or double, bring in suitcase in DCEand there will be miracle They will give you schematics .... Yet again you have to rework it and place newer and faster procesors..but no one from this companyes (Elbox and GVP) have no capacity to do that.. If someone produce it thy will ask fortune for that card like Elbox for Shark PPC (bese variant 400 euros and up... 1000 pcs x 400 euros for base variant is 400 000... I think taht there is 4000 Mediators out for PCI PPC or more and 2000 Prometheus... Whan I menioned Prometheus Matay worked on some PPC card so maybe they have documentation...
So again chance for PPC from Elbox is small becouse of problems with capacity of company.. they dont have knowledge to resolve problems thats it...something similar is with GVP...
Individual comp. have capacity (knowledge) but dont have money and more people to work on that...
Natami have knowledge and options with Sonet cards but they dont have money and they didnt finish motherbord yet.. than we will have to wait for good sale and then a decision for ppc card...
Thats my thoghts.. I be glad that I am wrong and that we see on premier of OS 4.1 for classics new PPC card from Elbox but....they only polishing drivers and sucking up rest of money with driver for Radeons with more memory.... Next is Radeon with 512 BM and then thats the and... Radeons with more mam in PCI version I think that dont exist...
We will wait for NATAMI team!

Either RAM or RAM, PCI Expander and GFX card would be needed for Classic users if they want to enjoy the Classics (recommended specs). That is 200-400 euros plus the OS. But that is the cost to keep up to date.
I also wish to see how OS 4.1 can perform on 603/604 with 128MB RAM and AGA/Weaker GFX. No offense to Classic users, but that would be a minimu hardware test, nice to know for developing version for mobile phone. _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Well ... so far no one announced or produced a better Zorro PPC card then Phase 5. It would be nice to see G3 or G4, but maybe for Mediator users this might be an option one day http://www.varisys.co.uk/vs145.html Natami, I hope will have PCI slots _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism.
