With the help of a good friend, I think we've tracked this down. He had the same issue.

Download the archive again.

Please open a shell,change directory to where the plugin is and type "version full npflashplayer.library" (no quotes)

Please do the same for the copy of the plugin you currently have.

Compare.

Both copies I have been using are: npflashplayer.library v1.6 249588 12Oct2009
Copy downloaded today is: npflashplayer.library v1.61 248820 25Feb2011

They must have been late uploading the new version and I managed to get the old one.

I'll install v1.61 and see what happens.

Something like that.

Hallelujah!

You are correct. Both the old and new install are loading the debt clock page without any GRs.

Now, do you have any idea why the old install was putting up that DOS window and the new install was not? Even though both of them had JavaScript Error Log to "CON:"

I have "CON:" removed in the old install and still used in the new install, but both of them seem to be working fine.

No. @hotrod was posting about that. Maybe he can explain it.

@thread

Since it is impossible for me to determine who downloaded what and at what time, please perform a version check of your "npflashplayer.library"
It should read:
FlashPlayer Plugin 1.61 (02/25/2011)

If it does not, please download again or you will have nothing but trouble with IBrowse, as this thread well illustrates.

@number6

Early this morning I went through this whole thread and started with your first suggestion. I tried everything again and made sure my installation matched your settings. I was at a loss for why I was not getting the same results as you. I am glad it turned out to be something as simple as an old library.

I think I go back to my first post and make a warning for any new readers of this thread. Might save them the same grief I went through. See Post 4.

Good idea I think.
I've added it to the end of the news thread as well.

Aminet show it should be version 1.61 but version command says FlashPlayer Plugin 1.6 (12.10.08) of that npflashplayer.library file in the archive.

@Moxee

I don't have that much to say really since I decided early on that I didn't want to see the javascript errors so never used those options. I saw what it did now when I was trying out the different configuration options to see if I could reproduce your issues.

Anyway it makes sense that it shows the errors in a console if you choose that option and since I guess that it's of no interest to you just keep it disabled.

Congratulations on your working IBrowse installation by the way.

Aminet said v1.61 when I first downloaded it too, but gave me v1.6.

Are you experiencing the trouble I did?

Better you return and download v1.61 like I did this morning.

Thanks really go to number6 for all his help!

I agree with you. I don't want to see those errors either unless I chose to.

@Tomppeli

I see you edited your post. I can not tell from your post now:
Did you download it again and it was STILL the wrong version?

Just FYI, in the U.S. I downloaded it 2 more times and got the correct version V1.61 each time.
