So anyone can produce OS4 compatible hardware? |
Yes, and always could.
But getting Hyperion to port is another issue, which requires direct contact to Hyperion with a business plan.

Apparently, that's not been the choice made for numerous reasons over the years. (1)As the s/w is pushed to do more, it's been difficult for them to consider using things you might call "entry level". (2)A company providing an alternative might not be able to fund their own projects sufficiently. (3)Competition/politics surrounding pre-existing products. Loyalty comes into play here. (4)Developers of hardware alternatives mostly got fed up with the legal mess. Who can blame them? (5)An oldie but goodie...communications is not what it could be.
I'll stop now...

Sorry, I don't understand how that applies to what I just wrote. What are you trying to say with that?

| On PC I strongly recommend Total Commander! It is the best all in one file manager I've ever seen! For AOS/DOpus there are a lot of features that could also be adopted (well within DOpus the user can easily configure most of them byself but there are quite a few additional tools necessary, for example regarding file-/dir-synchronization)!
