Wow, thanks for a voice of support. I don't want X1000 to fail. I don't have a horse in this race. I support neither side (but I'll freely admit that I have more friends on MorphOS side and this color my opinions) but I'll always admire Trevor for having a balls of steel for pushing this project. That being said, I'm going to stick to my opinion on how this project has been handled. It's an opinion of one person, who don't even going to buy X1000 – so it may be worthless to people who are already set on buying one. Still, I'd like to retain my right to speak up on issues I find disturbing in context of "our" history.

I saw a post that said there were no MorphOS users here in this thread bashing the X1000, or Hyperion, so I thought I would join the fun.

I can't help much with bashing the X1000, or A-Eon as the only thing I could fault them for is being too optimistic about their progress to complete a very difficult task, and I can't blame them for being late. Not when the blame for the late delivery might be from a source outside of their control, or a change in plans that they could not have anticipated (besides, I really like Trevor. It is just a shame he put his faith and money into something that is partially controlled by the sharks at Hyperion, I feel sorry for him and hope for the best outcome for his sake).

I could probably work up some juicy complaints regarding Hyperion, or some of their management personnel, but that is getting so old and repetitive, what the use of just rehashing it all over again?

I guess I'll just sit on the sidelines with my popcorn and watch this fight from the cheap seats.

About me and my attitude towards Hyperion, they did a marvelous job
but it all stopped there, years ago. Till now OS4 should be running on ARM
or x86, with at least 20-50k of users. Hey, but have they ever heard about PR?
Marketing? Economy strategy? I doubt! I sold my A1XE because the electronics
were a unstable piece of junk and i had a mass of problems with it. Not to
mention what was the price of it. And NO, i don`t want to buy a X1000 because
it will (if it ever comes out) be made by a small company (compared with
foxconn and others big series groups with rigorous quality controls) and
I`m afraid that the story like A1XE will repeat. Latter, when (and if) it comes
and after few months of usage among at least 1000 people I will think about
buying it. But due to the current situation, I hardly believe it will ever happen.

And if you can not handle the second opinion, it seems that you haven`t heard for
democracy. There will always be people who are thinking on some other way and the
only personal vendetta here is from you towards me, what is more than obvious from
this and last post. Perhaps , the best way to go is to ask the AEon staff , where is x?
