same here, dude.
I keep backing up stuff, on CDs and hard drives.... Maybe I should buy a Blue ray burner. Too much technology. Look at my studio!

@Darrin

I have been working on a fix for the DPI font issue on my calendar app and am nearly ready to release it, but just found out a good friend of mine died on Monday, which has stopped my thinking process completely.

@g0blin

nice setup :)

I done lots of backups but it seems i should have paid attention to cds of all age and not just the very old ones as it seems to me that the cds from 2000-2003 are the worst.

hmm, but yes cds got very cheap and quality degraded i guess.

I had the same feeling, so I started backing up to harddrives, but now I'm still overwhelmed

@all

Ok guys, I did it!

This is (shitty ) version 0.1 of "Dr Who Maze".

Just a quick mod of Andreas Falkenhahn Pac-Man port for Hollywood.

Here's the intro:

and here's a screenshot. Our beloved Doctor is trying to escape a few Daleks!

Just a begining. I still have a long way to go, but I wanted to share a little bit with you.

I'm working on the sprites. Couldn't really find something that could result in decent animation, so I'm tinkering a lot with Gimp. Wish me luck.

Best regards
g0blin

NIce work.

How about making the power pills a TARDIS or a sonic screwdriver?

@Darrin

I like the idea. I'll work on that and post a few more screenshots. I was thinking about changing opponents on every level: Daleks, Cybermen etc.

Once finished I'll publish the entire archive.

@g0blin

haha, dalek pac-man :D

great idea

But hmm the sound might really annoying over time lol (if you will use the orginal samples :D).

If you don't want to create all the gfx yourself then
you should ask if someone could rip the sprites and animations from the old game :) , i am sure there are people on eab that would do it.

Oh btw, what will happen when he eats the purple pill, a story twist? :-p

Good idea. I'd really like to start developing my gfx, but I have other stuff going on (check my webpage for more info).

True, but this mod is nothing more than a teaser. I doubt anyone will be playing that long...

I found a few sprites with different DrWho shapes. I was thinking about switching from one onother (kind of trasforming/cycling through old Doctors).

PS: Just noticed - 200 posts. Not many, but still a presence on the web!

I think so too.
Trouble is, they are just single sprites. I searched the website but there's no other frames, so it is impossible for me at this time to come up with characters animation.

Those sprites would have been perfect for an adventure game!

not sure

That would be "Death's Head" (by Marvel Comics). Not really sure why the author put it here.

Just check the section "Expanded Universe" at this URL:
