By all accounts, it sounds like inertia is more of an issue than acrimony.

Trevor D. discusses future of ExecSG?

I thought he is not related to it... or did I understand him wrong?

"...and I can talk about that, because I am involved with ExecSG"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPfvLYoEZHY (1 hour 59 minutes into the stream, and also see this post).

All in all (using Trevors own words): "4 musketeers or gang of 4? "

No where has Trevor said that.

No where has Trevor said that.

Indeed, but he has several times on several places said things like:

"A correction to all the scuttlebut 'news' that is circulating around ExecSG. A-EON Technology Ltd does not own ExecSG. Period!

TrevorD"

https://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic_id=43081&forum=2&start=60&viewmode=flat&order=0#822424

If not owned by A-EON, Trevor or the greater "AeonKit"-sphere, then it must be one of the Cloanto corporations or the C-A Acquisition Corporation. In any case, I believe it's very much plausible that all of the "four musketeers" are involved with ExecSG.

They also seem to have tried involving D'Artagnan...

@TRIPOS

The statement you quoted says something about A-Eon, nothing more.

Thanks for posting!

Trevor has always busy itinerary. NZ, Japan, Europe and then the other shore of the ocean. His work for our community is really admirable.

Have you considered the possibility that Thomas and Hans-Joerg still own Exec SG but A-EON are now paying for it's development.

That fits quite well between what Thor said he was told by Hyperion and the statement Trevor made.

So all kinds of information on travel and his kids and Grandkids and not one word on the release date for the A1222? Seriously?

Hey Trevor how about some substance regarding the Tabor?
Hello?

@thread

While the talk of ownership is amusing, most people are merely concerned with when they will see additions and fixes publically released.
That applies to owners/purchasers of the currently released h/w or prosepective purchasers of any new offerings of h/w.

Ownership is nice, but having the authority to actually work on the product and actually distribute updates to the public is really the issue.

Sounds like the launch has been torpedoed by the court case. They have conceded first launch rights to the Vampire Stand Alone and Vampire 1200. I can't see how the investment can be recouped at this point IMHO.

@BigD

I agree about the launch but there are a lot of people interested in this board so I don't agree that they can't at least cut their losses and recoup their investment..

But They need to provide some information to those of us that do still have interest...

Besides if your statement was true why would Trevor continue pushing / marketing OS4.1 in the first place. He mentioned that several times in the blog so not mentioning Tabor makes no sense at all.

Presumably there isn't enough worth mentioning.

Trevor has clearly been pursuing detente. Without ending this impasse the Tabor is likely relegated to boat anchor status.

Probably. Tabor can't be released without an updated version of AmigaOS 4.1, and an updated version of AmigaOS 4.1 can't be released if no one is actually working on it.

It's quite obvious that A-eon believes in mushroom management when it comes to community.

@Rose

I quite like mushrooms myself.

Read my Soapbox article in the next edition of Amiga Future magazine. After all I've got to leave some information for the longest serving Amiga magazine still in circulation and going strong.

Thanks. Is that the August issue 139? I would like to know what is going on.
