I am a bit puzzled by AmigaKit are supplying it with the latest sound driver, if an older one actually works better. _________________

Why it happens to some boards i dont know. The old sound driver is okay. I think this problem is rare so i guess thats why amigakit supplying the latest one. Hopefully next version will fix this thing.

Thanks! For some reason I've not received it though....
Maybe stick it online somewhere? It's probably being dropped by a mail filter somewhere.
Bit surpised AmigaKit didn't test the sound. Ah well, I'm sure we'll get there soon. Is my board old, or new?

Thanks. Driver installed. Now there's a new problem (yay). The crackles are gone, but now... playback is slowed down.  This seems to be a reported problem. I can either have crackly or slowed down, it seems.
Luckily I have multipe music sources here, but all the same.... Bugger.

Have done so. Will let you know if I hear anything...
I'm putting up with webmail for now. Not getting much joy from SimpleMail.
On the upside, I have now compiled up my Address Book program (biz/dbase/AB.lha) and it runs! Only took a couple of #defines. Tone-dialing is knackered though. Guess audio.device behaves differently now.
Am having fun, which is the main thing.

Just a thought on my part .
Does anyone have this problem who does not have the front panel audio connected to the motherboard ?
