I am a little behind on the ISO as I am having so much fun with Lubuntu.

| New Sam460ex Ubuntu 12.04 installer.
Supports Radeon HD cards up to HD4000 series and the console output via the Sam460ex onboard graphics card.
This one allows you to install Ubuntu using the onboard sm502 graphics card so you dont need a second computer or serial cable .(There is also the option to do it this way too)
So plug your monitor in to the onboard VGA connector and boot the CD or use two monitors .
If you only have one monitor once the installation is done reconnect it to the Radeon HD video card output .

Yes.
You Install using the Onboard graphics and then switch to the Radeon HD 4650
when you restart. If you have two monitors then you can leave both connected.
One on the Radeon HD 4650 and one on the onboard sm502 vga.This way you will see
the Console text at startup and shutdown on the monitor attached to the SM502.

Yeah still no console out put on the Radeon.
Wonder if it has to do with the SM502 being present.
May try to disable it in the kernel and see .

I don't know if it's important:
Note the "video_activate" Uboot variable. When it is set to "pci" OS4 will use the Radeon card. When notfound or set to "sm502", OS4 will use the SM502. Last edited by elwood on 26-Dec-2013 at 08:45 PM.

I had experimented with this setting a few days ago when I was doing the Sm502 testing but it did not make a difference with the Radeon HD under Linux.

I have one more compile to do to see if I can get console output on the Radeon HD.
Takes about 2 hours to complete .
I will try to release a new ISO later tonight.
With either the onboard M502 required for installation or just the
Radeon HD if I can get the Radeon HD console to work .
