Haage and Partner. Bring that crowed back and dump Hyperion. Why? Because I haven`t finished my popcorn.

Bars&Pipes Professional for OS4 is available now, and it's free.
It's had a few upgrades, including support for CAMD, so it can
now have as many tracks playing as you want. There's no limit
to how many MIDI interfaces it can use.

I'll admit it hasn't had many updates in about two years, but
it's definitely not abandoned. I've just been busy with other things.

The biggest problem most people have is the need for external
synthesizers, and then the MIDI interfaces to connect them.

With the release of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition, camd.library and
the usb midi driver are already installed, and there is a complete
16 channel softsynth in the contributions.

With these in place, everyone has a General Midi synth built in,
and everyone can compose, edit, and play songs from Bars&Pipes
without any external equipment.

It also opens up the potential market for a program like "Score", if I
could just fine more time to work on it.

Turboprint still stands out for some reason. may just be a combination of Spooler and drivers, Not sure ,but someone had a handle on it and may hold some clues as to integrate another program.

There certainly was when I contacted them in 2011, one of their employees who had been there for 17 years even gave me a licence code for Wordworth 7.

@amigakit

How about Netsurf for 68k Amigas. It is only possible "semi modern" web browser for real 68k Amigas.

Current port is based to framebuffer frontend and SDL, wich is meant to be used for debuggin and no gui systems,. That why it is not presented as a port in http://www.netsurf-browser.org/

Chris has made a quite lot work to keep 68k version possible, he has ported Netsurf for OS4.

As an example, original RiscOS Netsurf requires 68030 equalent (AMR6 30mhz) CPU and 16mb ram.

I would hapily buy it to my classics.

No, please no! IBrowse is ten million times better. It needs CSS, of course, but otherwise IBrowse is in a completely different league from Netsurf. Updating IBrowse makes far more sense.

@Thorham

IBrowse was my preferred browser for a long time. CSS and some other updates would make it ideal for real 68k hardware where more demanding services like Youtube wouldn't even be a consideration.

You can't retro fit CSS to these old browsers. The html engines need a total rewrite, not mention the DOM and javascript, once you totlly replace the html engine of iBrowse you've more or less got Odyssey.

Probably best for A-EON not to buy to many applications but they could bring back applications that haven't been available for some time if they can work something out with the owner. Also they could offer financial incentives without buying software outright.

Candy Factory 2 has been on my wish list for years. Matt Kille still visits here so it shouldn't be too hard for A-EON to get hold of him to see if something can be worked out to get this program finished and on sale.

Last mention about CF2 is here. http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=29355&forum=32&16#537609

Payback 2 looks like it uses the exact same engine from the original so wouldn't need OpenGL since there was a Warp3D version for both 68k and PowerPC.
It would be great to have it for OS4 because the original needed fixing for OS4 anyway and it an ideal candidate for expanded 68k systems and could even use the Prisma card to playback the Music.

Last time I mailed James Daniels he said that he was keeping on eye on the Amiga Scene, that was many years ago but he amenable to working with A-EOn to sort something out.

A few people mentioned Pagestream. It would be good if they could get a source license for Amiga version since I don't think it's likely that Deron will be working on those version again.
