So, is this planned for the A1200, or are we just hoping here?

@Shamron

It is real for the A600 - and it is planned for the A1200:

If it comes with RTG, AGA and OCS/ECS via the HDMI I would buy an A600 for it's cute size. Then I wouldn't need an A1200 at all

Is it just wrong mpg file or it can't play video and sound synced?

Id love to see a video of something like The Curse Of Monkey Island running (via scummvm).

Im not sure what games are supported in what version of Novacoders more up to date ports, but if need be some of the older amiga versions play it nicely (v6 or 7 iirc are somewhat faster than later versions, so for C.O.M.I at least theyre probably the best bet).

@pixie

... and of course, the Sonnet is a PowerPC device, running 400+ MIPS on PowerPC code.

The main point of the Vampire is that it allows real Amiga hardware to run legacy 68k code faster than any other accelerator, so there's not really much point in comparing its performance to that of a PowerPC device running PowerPC code...
