Logical as "Francaise des jeux" never exploited the AmigA name here in France

It got a quik lottery game called "Amigo" . This game was created as "Rapido" then replaced and renamed "Amigo" to make it sounds more like "Bingo" in 2010

How long is this shit going to go on. Why even fight over it? Its not like AmigaOS is selling loads of copies and is a big business. Time spent developing it would be better with more chance of selling more copies as it stand from where I'm standing development of the OS has stop. Please don't mention the enhancer pack because if it was developed more we would not need the enhancer pack. PS Well done to those that have developed the enhancer pack as the OS would be even less developed with out it. Hyperion have turned into another Amiga inc

Development is ongoing even if it's not visible in public. Maybe Hyperion should start a twitter feed that relays version numbers as components on the beta server get updated. That we could all see that updates are being delivered on an almost daily basis.

@thellier

Yes, I read your earlier post as well. Amigo vs Amiga. It makes sense...but not really.
Here's why:

La Française des Jeux objected to Cloanto's filing for Amiga (euipo) as well and never withdrew that objection.
What is the explanation for this?

Source for above

In addition (for the 3rd time) I have to raise the fact that after Itec LLC renewed the Amiga trademark (euipo) we still have people filing for and objecting TO other filings for Amiga (euipo). So, I ask again, what is the explanation for this?

@Rob

Some proof would be nice. No SMP yet No support over 4GB yet Workbench needs updating. Printer support very limited Wifi support limited. So what have we been given in the last 2years of so called development not including anything on the enhancer pack ??????????

Where is os4.2 ????????

In a nutshell, because just "renewing" or "applying for" a trademark registration does not actually make you the right owner of it. You can file for opposition whenever you feel that the current 'owner' does not meet the legal or formal requisites to 'own' the mark.

Having made a significant # of postings here about said objections to "applications", I am somewhat aware of that.

But there is no such information on the renewal page. If you really know of documents that express objection to the Itec LLC renewal of the Amiga trademark (euipo), I would appreciate a link.

I hope Cloanto wins at least they have working software.
I don't think I have ever seen anything from Hyperion other then Hyper Hype.
Then again being in the US we never see anything.

Then try OS4.1FE. Only 30 EUR and works in WinUAE.

Pragmatically speaking neither Cloanto, Hyperion A-eon, nor any of the others entities somehow related to Amiga can afford this type of litigation.

They ought to sit down, iron out their differences, and move forward with a cooperative plan.

Until then I keep using a real A1000 and / or AROS. AROS is free and works pretty much in any PC.

I don't think anyone is hoping for the demise of Hyperion but it's clearly time for the IP to either be divested or put to bed.

Arguably the OS itself is tragically outdated and should likely stay there to allow a replacement to emerge.

"Then try OS4.1FE. Only 30 EUR and works in WinUAE."

My machines have never recovered from the 3.5/3.9 crap they sold us.

I don't use WIN UAE, I tried it , it was cute but it is just lipstick on a pig if you are doing graphic work, you are still stuck with windows and their pastel colors.
I am actually amazed that they keep making UAE work or that people keep buying the latest upgrades. What number are they up to know I think my last CDrom was #6
