That's good at least. I downloaded the update and then it stopped working. But it was apparently due to a new server and bad timing. Mine fixed again now |

Hi, AMIStore is not updating here. The update is downloaded and a Info-Requester is opened telling me
"Update successfully downloaded and installed. Please click QUIT & RESTART button to restart the updated Amistore"
After restart it checks for update and finds
"There isa a new update available of AMIStore to donwload
Version installed: 0.663 New Update Version: 0.664 (Update Size: 3440984 bytes"
again.
Indeed in the drawer I find an "AmiStore" (and it's .info file) and "AmiStore.old" file. both have the same checksum and creation date: 2015-12-20-202136.
I deleted the Amistore.old file, rebooted, and launched the program again. After the first "Download and Update" there is a new "Amistore.old" file which is the same as the "Amistore" file again.
I could not find a temporary install file in T: during the update process (to install manually.)
What I did next: 1. I Cold rebooted the AmigaONE-XE 2. renamed the SYS:Utilities/Amistore drawer to SYS:Utilities/Amistore.off 3. Moved every reference to "AmiStore" I could find in ENVARC: to a Storage location 4. Cold rebooted the AmigaONE-XE again 5. Downloaded Amistore-Install from the Amistore.net website 6. Re-installed Amistore.
but the results are the same.
What am I doing wrong?
This is on an AmigaOne-XE, I have no access to the Sam440, X1000 or X5000 ATM |

Oh dear, I found another issue:
upon launching AMIStore a cli windows opens: Quote:
+++ Error 13 in line 1: Host environment not found +++ Error 13 in line 1: Host environment not found +++ Error 13 in line 1: Host environment not found
|
then the main AMIStore window opens.
ARexx is running. This is on a freshly installed AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 1 after I installed the latest available Enhancer Package.

Is this on your XE? Helge had this issue for ages on his Sam 460. He just solved it recently. Apparently the Sam 460 tools changing things like L2 cache were corrupting his system. And he was getting that error. He removed the tools and now it's working fine. Helge can buy OS4 products again.
But if it also appears on an XE with a fresh install then some else is afoot. This is how it looks on my X1000 with a working AmiStore. All the Arexx lines are stripped out from a Snoopy log:
