As Gunnar also said:

It is correct that the V4 came in Neuss with OS licenses from Cloanto.

Cloanto can't give (and never gave) licences for AOS3.9.

It seems Gunnar doesn't even know, whom they should have asked for licences.

@OneTimer1

It was never meant to sell with a complete OS installation, it was supposed to be just the kickstart licensed from Cloanto. But then someone went a little overboard during the Amiga34 and gave away pre-installed CF cards along with the V4 cards they sold. It was even denied a few times by so called "team members", while on the apollo forum, people were reporting about having received such cards. Solution by certain team member when this was pointed out, was that he would "contact them" - I don't know why that would help any... silence them? :)

@OneTimer1

Correct, Cloanto don't own OS3.9.

However, in Amiga Forever, they have an OS3.x which kinda sorta parallels 3.9 and I believe that their ROM is required to run it, so it is entirely possible that the V4 could have been sold with a licensed OS from Cloanto

@number6

I always wonder why in amigaland ppl often possess _two_ talents:

1st talent used to create something astonishibg (like Vampire, but also other things)
2nd a talent used to mess up things/shoot themselves in the knees.

It' s so f*cking stupid you just wanna cry... i mean Gunnar at al are really experienced and talented ppl, why on **** sake they f*ck it up on the last mile?

Arghhh!!!
