That’s not supporting spottily, that using Linux to pipe sound to amiga. |
Yes & No, Yes its just a fun hack but it still a way of accessing Spotify on an Amiga, yes you need a whole other computer to do it but the world is moving in that direction anyway what's the harm. Remote cloud Desktops I do feel are going to become a thing in few years time, you can kind of do it now, but it not quite there yet. One thing people miss about 5G tech is, its not just the extra speed but also lentacy is improved. So things like mobile gaming can be done, my Phone can play Xbox Series S games / Playstation games, it not ran on the hardware, it streamed, is that cheating? I think most people wont care as long as they can run it, thats all it about for the end user.
On my Pi400 + Amikit + Rabbit Hole Im able to enjoy Spotify in the browser while working on Amiga stuff its great.
I do feel some in the Amiga community have to be open to more of these ideas and ways of accessing modern apps, where never going to get main stream support and lack of devs to port the software doesn't help solutions like the above are not ideal but they are a solution never the less. _________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Well I can plug my output jack of pc into my amiga input jack, and control sound on mobile phone, even if do that sound is being played on the pc.
sure its interesting to see Amiga500 being able to sample audio on fly like this, as most sound samples disabled the OS while recoding back in the late 80’s on 7Mhz CPU, from that point views its interesting, but its not what we are talking about.
