When using AWeb, does the login/logon buton link to my users infopage in stead of the right one... so I need to go to http://amigaworld.net/user.php manually, to be able to login. Last edited by hnl_dk on 27-Jan-2006 at 02:15 PM.

It happens to me a lot when I connect from work (MSIE5.5), even with "Save Cookies for 1 year" enable. From home, I don't have this problem (using FireFox). Would it be down to MSIE5.5 or to the security set-up here ?

i get this with firefox from home... i am not logged in when i got to www.amigaworld.net. if i click on one of the new forum threads, AW suddenly reports me as being logged in, it seems as it's just the main page that thinks that i am not logged in, until i press a forum thread, after that, if i click home, the mainpage reports me as being logged in... it works the same in ibrowse btw. weird. Make sure your firewall hasn't been updated and changed some settings. Also make sure your browser cache is clean. I have no problems on the site using FF 1.5.0.1 from either Brasil, work or home. _________________ Test sig (new) |

Wow, you must have a busy live flying from Brasil to work and back home...
eh, yes, anyway, may i point to some long standing glitch in the HTML code of AW.net? Get to a forum and click on the "Post New Topic" at the TOP of the page, it doesn't work with AWeb. This has been addressed earlier.
The BOTTOM "Post New Topic" button works, though
EDIT: < a href="newtopic.php?forum=7" / >
The last slash should be removed to make it work, i think
Thanks

Yes, I found the code for the bottom one a while back (after a certain webmaster added it to the top and bottom ) and fixed it, I got caught up trying to find it for the top button though, and never managed to get back to it

| I am logged out everytime my IP changes. Why?
I have the cookies that says I'm logged in as long as I didn't time out. Why are the cookies connected to the IP address? they shouldn't IMO, that's just annoying. _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

Not a bug, more a feature request.
Would it be possible to add some dort of "Preview" for the PM messages.
I often get back badly crippled replies because i sent out those crippled messages, a preview would make life easier
Thanks |

| One of the links I got from a search attempt was this:
http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=17610&forum=14#288707
That was supposed to show a post from me there, but the post is in a subsequent page instead! Which means that, in topics with multiple pages, the link from the search result does not go to the relevant page.
It had happened in the past, but I didn't have DSL for a period and was reluctant to spend too much time net with things like reporting a bug...
There might be a simple solution/workaround to this. We'll just have to rely on the... magical abilities of the admins. Last edited by mwoof on 29-Apr-2006 at 01:47 PM.

| I realized these aren't bugs, but when using IBrowse the quote button in Reply still doesn't work, the Results button in a poll doesn't work, and the "Show all results" link in a Search doesn't work.
