@CC-Rider
/off Topic

there isn't really any newbie thread, this one is about the mozilla port to the amiga if you have any questions about the mozilla port then ask them here some people might have the answer to the question, doesn't matter what the question is as long as its to do with this thread

If you are looking for information on anything else just start a new thread if you go to the forum section top bar nav you can see the different forums and you can choose which topic your question comes under if doesn't fit in any of them then post to the free for all

feel free to pm me any questions I'll respond when I get a chance. I'm normally logon around 8 am and logoff around midnight GMT

You will find this forum to be very friendly though arguments do start they are normally dealt with quickly.

ps

@aldur
I think she(?) may have been referring to the number of newbies turning up in the thread...

Back on topic...
I guess that is the "easy" bit done, the hard part must surely be converting the GUI, layout engine, etc, to use Intuition/MUI/ReAction instead of whichever gadget toolkit Mozilla currently supports. I fear it will still be a few years until we get something usable but great work so far guys!

if it wiil works, they are free to call it even Samantha IMHO!

The fact that they can do it, doesn't mean that it's the best choice.
It sounds very amateurish to me. The name is a brand and i can't see a big difference from a developer's point of view. OTOH, a final user is attracted by the name and givin' a poor name might result in people singing the same old song "ah, the Amiga, what a fantastic toy!".
Now i can assume that you both would have been happy if AmigaOS was renamed SamanthaOS4 a couple of years ago, weren't you?

All this is of course just IMHO and when it'll see the light, i'll be more than happy to send some beers to the developers of SamanthaZilla despite the name

@Nibunnoichi

As far as I am aware and I'm not on the AmiZilla Project

the project is code named AmiZilla just for Amigans to know it exists and to hopefully bring new developers to the project

the Program is Mozilla which in our case will be an amiga port of Mozilla written by the Amizilla Crew

I don't believe the browser should be called or rebranded anything else and I don't care what the project is called as long as we get an uptodate Web Browser XML, CSS, XHTML, HTML, DHTML, .........
