@RoqueFort

Imagine a following TV commercial:

An old man sits in a bench in a park. He starts to have flashbacks from his youth, as a small boy in kindergarden, a teenager in school, a student in university and as a young man (and later middle-aged man) working in some office. Each flashback has something in common - a beautiful young woman (I am thinking something smart yet sexy like Christina Ricci or Heather Graham) who smiles to the main character and helps her through the life.

Finally we'll see a scene where the hand of young woman touches the old man into shoulder - the man looks up and sees the nurse who is the same woman as seen in his memories. Woman smiles, screen fades into black, we see text

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE FOR YOU.

In the end, we see Amiga/OS4 logo...

I am glad you liked the idea

You know, we could get suitable actors from various members of Amigaworld.net to play the man in the flashbacks - to make it a bit more authentic. Most of the ages should be well covered but we might need to hire somebody for the kindergarten kid part...

Amiga - a personal computer for you.
(Together with some visual hint that, so called mainstream systems are actually something pushed down your throat by real POWER players, *coughdrmcough*)

Imagine this....

There is a dark cramped room filled with rows apon rows of dark clothed desk slaves toiling with their computers at their desks.....On a video screen at the front of the room is Big Brother. A woman runs into the room and lobs a hammer at the screen and destroys it into a million pieces metaforically saving the people from their slavery. Fade to Amiga logo.

Good one eh!!!
Yeah, something LIKE THAT!!!!
Hmmm... Maybe we can get it played at the superbowl. ;-p

Ok....
Ummm... How about this......
You're married to your PC. How about some action on the side..... fade to Amiga.

Anyway, using an Amiga has gotta be seen as a sort of release from work. Or from a boring PC.

Voiceover, thumbling comedic music.
"Remember a time when computers were simple." A nerd leans over in the office and sprouts some incomprehensible technobabble.
"Remember a time when computers did what you wanted." Somebody yawning at a desk at home waiting for his PC to update....the progress bar moves from 5% to 4%. Thumps fist on desk.
"Remember a time when you didn't have to worry." Hundreds of browser popups on the screen. Zoom in on. Your computer has a virus...Man at desk ready to pull hair out.
"Remember a time when you enjoyed using a computer."
Man screams, "That's the last time" and beats his PC to death with an axe in the office for crashing yet again...
"Remember a time when computers weren't work." Somebody throws their PC throught a highrise window and it lands with a crash on the ground.
"The Amiga has returned." Demos, games and productivity apps flashing in rapid succession in a cresendo of music(like at the end of a movie trailer.).
Fade to Amiga logo, "Let the fun begin.........Amiga"

Ok. Going back to my happy place now.

Amiga: Your free choice.

Amiga: A choice of free will.

Amiga: Maybe not a rational choice but a choice of freedom.

You are a free man... Amiga.

Using Amiga you won't lose your nerves.

If you want to avoid nervous breakdown buy Amiga.

If nervous breakdown is not your middle name then use Amiga.

If you don't want to be like your neighbour. Use Amiga.

If you like to have a Mercedes instead of a some common car. So why should you use a PC like everyone else. Get an Amiga !

Amiga: A choice of a true man.
Amiga: A choice of a true woman.

AmigaTheDemoSceneEffect.

Amiga. You don't need any other tracker. (Put a picture of some dj. here in your mind.)

Fun still exists. Amiga.

(PC = PuuCee = a privy in Finnish) (If you want to get your brains reliefed. Use an Amiga instead. (People can ask themselves "instead of what ?"))

Bat out of Hell 3 is due out at some time. Maybe getting Jim Steinman on board (much in the way that Billy got the stones for win 95)

One of my Favourite Stienman questecan be modified:

Amiga: Let the Rebels Begin.

Ok, just for kicks, I'll play:

Playing on the Windows theme.
A boing ball crashes through a Window or a Windows Logo.
The caption reads, "Windows break, Amiga doesn't" or "Amiga's break Windows"
or "Want to break a Window, try an Amiga instead."

ALong the movie theme:

Three tricked out street cars, on bearing the Apple logo, one bearing the Windows
logo and one baring the Amiga logo have a street race and of course the Amiga
car wins. Then the following caption appears:

"Amiga....fast and furious."

Ok..ok....one last try:

Amy the squirel prances across the screen wearing a red and white boing ball
pattern bra........globes bouncing as she sits down at an Amiga computer
with an updated version of the boing ball bouncing around the screen.
The caption reads, "Get Boinged.....Get an Amgia"

Ok, I'll quit...it's obviously late and I should get to bed. :|

Well, Amiga doesn't actually mean girlfriend in Spanish- that's "novia."

Not sure thats entirely true. A google gives this:

girl·friend, girl friend (gûrlfrnd )
s.
1. - amiga
2. (sweetheart) - novia

On topic:

I agree with Samurai´_Crow that Amiga: Back for the Future was a good slogan.

I think I like this one best anyway. Not really an attack on windows and still everyone would understand! Muahahahaha!

So what would the ad look like? Outside a green landscape is seen under a pinkish glow from a red boingball sun and shining through the window into a grey office with tired man hunched over a pc with the windows logo on it?

Sorry, messed up that one bad.
