Elena has left the building . . .

Elena Novaretti has discontinued her site.

For those few who haven't heard of her -- on top of creating some amazing pieces of fractal artwork (art & math -- my dream woman! ), she is the author of the PowerIcons utility that made it possible for us lowly "classic" users to display PNG icons.

Ken is sad.

Elena is not gone. The website was only about fractals, and she didn't like it anymore.

Elena no!

Your artwork & software a truly excellent & I'm very sad to see you let go.

My personal favorites:

ZoneXplorer is so powerful it's unhealthy. I only wish I had the knowledge to build fractals myself. I would love to have seen this beast ported to a native OS4 version.

PowerIcons... Another gem & extremely useful.

And your fractals. If anyone out there hasn't looked at the images on Elenas site, I urge you to check them out. Bear in mind, these are created, not simply rendered!!!

Thank you very much for your contributions, I hope to see you back sometime.

FuZion.

Hi @klesterjr

OK, I just killed off "Ken's Icons" V.2 and re-installed PowerIcons!

Feel better now!

Don't be too sad Ken. Don't worry too much, she'll be back
in a great form with a new site.

Elene along with Massimo are also the authors of
AutoUpdateWB , a very useful utility to auto-refresh WB folders, which was recentish back in July...hope she's not disappearing!

(Yes, and she's very cute too! )

@cecilia

Having never looked at fractal "art" before I've got to say that I'm impressed
with what I saw on Elena's site ! I especially liked: Underground, BabyDJ,
Eyes, TheLight, Stream and Bagpipers (though there are many more that stood
out).

It's amazing to think that they were all produced using mathematics.

Cheers,
Bean.

Woooooow, those are realy nice pics.

It remembers me at when i was very young
and i had a sort of paper tube with some
collored glas/plastic plates you could move
and view true in the light.

But these are so wonderful.

@all

I've always loved fractal generating programs. The 68k version of Elena's program works with os4. A little slow, but I'm hoping JIT will speed things up.

@cecilia

Thanks for the link, I had forgotten how amazing those fractals really are.

/me wonders when it will occur to Elena that she'd make a big hit in the fashion industry by using her fractals as fabrics patterns...
