That sounds like a good plan... For either these two machines or more machines that I hope to order. That's what the bounty should be for, raise $1,000 - then send these babies to each of the Blue and Red teams. Or what ever those colored teams are.

You don't even know if they want them to do development work on.

You want the bounty to pay your ultra retail markup, which is over 100% more than normal expected retail? Our community has some crazies. But you are not going to fool many with this. And for anyone you would fool, shame on you.

I am not ashamed! The shame is on you, the country owes 10+Trillion dollars.

The simple thing for you shouldn't participate in activities or forums you don't believe in.
I just makes you upset and angry! GoodBye!

Now what on earth do I have to do with the United States national debt? And even if I had anything to do with it, what would that have to do with you trying to sell two Limebooks on ebay for $500 each, or to organize a bounty where the contributors would have to ultimately pay $500 each for them?

I'm neither upset nor angry. That said I'll speak my mind. I'm all for community involvement to help bring about other viable platforms for any of our operating systems. And that would include the Limebook. But the 1st stop you need to make is to see if any developer is interested. If you get that then you can share with us who that is and make a worthwhile bounty to defray costs you are out of pocket. And then, look, if you really incurred some crazy fedex costs to get these two units from China or something, then I am sure then the prevailing sentiment would be more sympathetic. And if it got to that point I'd contribute to the bounty then as well.

Instead you post a link to an ebay auction, one open to anyone, where the most glaring things are 1) its over double retail and 2) you have no interested developers to show us. Which will be moot even if you did, if two people on ebay simply scoop up the only two units you have.

2 more weeks! Before you stop talking about double retail right, "you know nothing" as Jim Cramer from Mad Money would say. Your claiming double retail, but it's not double retail, you don't even know the costs involved.

Sorry to offend! But your welcome to donate to bounty, once the bounty people show up!

If you choose to ignore the questions posed to you on how an open ebay auction helps get these two machines into the hands of two willing and able developers people will draw their own conclusions. And those conclusions will likely be negative. If you choose to go that route, fine. Your choice.

As to double retail. As wegster already pointed out to you plastered over much of the internet its been pegged at $249. As I have already stated you may have incurred other costs that you may be determined to re-coup. But if you are not going to justify the price, again, people will draw their own conclusions. From a buyer's perspective, why buy a $500 Limebook from you, someone who does not answer messages coherently here quite often, when they are better off waiting to see if known reputable dealers sell it later closer to the proposed retail of $249, where they will know they will get good service, say at a Tigerdirect.com or an Amigakit.com?

And just for fun, quoting Cramer dosen't say much. Cramer famously told people to keep their investments in Goldman right before it went down the toilet. Sure plenty of financial and stock advisors are wrong on ocassion. But since you quote him as if its meaningful, its simply factual in return, Cramer sometimes knows nothing too it would seem.

@meet.mrnrg

As US government is printing money to bail out company's and banks the USD most be weakened ageist other currencies, the same is true for other countries that does the same, countries that does not produce anything, and live of reselling will find them self being unable to sell things; products from china has taken out local companies, and local work places all over the world, the USD and other currencies has had to hi value for too long, in the interest of oil producing countries, Its not even worth repairing anything any more every thing cost less new.

Too few are benefiting, and its not constable, there are simply no one to sell any thing to any more, things has to be procured locally again, and balance has to be restored, until then every thing is going to be expensive.

Over production has to stop, shipping products form the other side of the world has to stop.

Maybe its time governments started cutting work days in the weak, maybe every should relax more now production is so efficient.

@fairlanefastback

There's no mention of a RRP on the LimeBook website! Any besides specs / prices you discuss are not the same as what's being offered. I don't bow down to failing economies and falling speculators.

Besides RRP == Recommend_retail_price / Suggested_retail_price
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suggested_retail_price

So far no single shred of evidence or proof, of what you are talking about!

So you aren't going to address the points on questioning how an ebay auction gets these two systems into the hands of any interested and/or able Amiga software developers. Your continually dodging the question makes it appear you have no answer to that.

As to pricing. Fine lets turn the point being made on its head. Are you then saying that $500 will be the retail for this model, but that LimePC has just not put that on their website yet? And if nothing else, if there is no way to confirm what the expected price should be near from LimePC, why should anyone trust you that the price is at all reasonable?

Quote:

So what Suggested Retail Price did LimePC tell you was the amount for what you are selling? Lets not play games here. Tell us what the Suggested Retail Price provided by the manufacturer is. You saying (to paraphrase) "besides SRP" just means "suggested" will only reinforce the idea you are likely overcharging.

Which brings me to another idea. I think I will write them to confirm if you are an authorized reseller and what the SRP is independently. Being that in essence, your idea is two members of the community should just pony up $500 each and feel like they got a fair deal right?

OK, looks like soon we will meet the target of ordering more industrial / developer evaluation units for testing. I will relay the information back you all ASAP.

Hehe, Yeh no more need for Aprils Fools Day...

"THIS IS A SERIOUS ATTEMPT @ MAKING MORE ORDERS - 4 - REAL" Perhaps a foolish dream, but at least the hardware exists in real life. Thousand saw it in CES 2008 and 2009, so I'm not the only one!

But took so long to get here, due to CASH Flow problems, you can imagine why.
Man for $300 I have spent in one night or weekend many times, while partying!
How they supposed to FEED let alone PAY them. $7Million just kick starts development it seems these days, even in Asia!
