Damn their email server is SLOW.
Just got the next batch of unknown recipient bounce-backs:

Make a convincing commercial or catchy jingle! Have you sold ICE to the eskimos yet?
Better yet, you can buy LimePC.com and then give us the machines for free! Last edited by meet.mrnrg on 06-Apr-2009 at 06:44 PM.

This isn't going to happen without you talking directly to Hyperion and putting a lot of money into the project yourself. |

I like to think I'm a reasonable person, even in the face of insurmountable odds, so I'll ask my question one very last time, but I shall rephrase it once again:
If this project/business idea is supposed to have the ultimate aim of benefiting Amiga fans and getting the netbooks into the hands of Amiga/MorphOS/AROS developers, why use eBay, where the netbooks can be purchased by any member of the public, rather than, say, the classifieds section of Amigaworld, and/or the Buy and Sell forum on MorphZone.org, where you can specify that the netbooks are to be purchased by developers only?
EDIT: For clarity.Last edited by Gleng on 06-Apr-2009 at 08:17 PM.

Listen I am going to do you a favor and tell it like it is.
Drop you price on ebay take a loss on the limebooks, or maybe keep or donate them and eat the loss. You don’t wish to be doing business with this Asian firm, they will screw you over. Do your own research on this company, and you might find it connected to the Communist Government.

Yeah, this buy it, and they will come attitude cannot even be remotely compared to a business plan. Buy it and hope OS4 or MOS gets ported to it??!! Now you're insulting just about everyone on this board.
That's like me buying a car in hopes that the manufacturer will come along later and upgrade the engine for me. Not gonna happen. Why should we buy this system? You haven't presented one good reason. It's an overpriced, underpowered Linux netbook and will never be anything different.
This is just a scam to make you a little money selling the LimePC, nothing more, nothing less. |

Does the AW forum offer PayPal? Buyer Protection? Does it Offer Customer Database and Messaging and Trouble Resolution System?
ALL those I need to protect the business and protect the customer!
Also does AW have any global buying power on USPS or UPS Worldwide? _________________ Quote:

These were all claims made about Sam440EP!
The early birds got nice working systems, in a matter of weeks! These systems came with soldered RAM and good support.
We dragged on through months and months of Linux usage every now and then. But since Amiga OS4.1 BETA, its been powered up and used a lot more.
Anybody Remember the IDE/SATA DMA worries and bugs and few broken CruxPPC releases! It was chaos but a good learning curve! _________________ Quote:

Thanks... Right next to the Guide, there is:
---Items from eBay sellers--- LimeBook
hahaha!
They will use the Guide to get to the product, which then says PayPal Buyer Protection Guarantee for $500.00US, and know its more secure than the comment! _________________ Quote:

Acube have a business relationship with Hyperion. They aren't tossing PowerPC boards to AW.net discussions and waiting for someone to pay a bounty to send a board to someone that won't look at it. They've invested in their product, in the OS4 development/support for same, and that's how Sam got where it is after the initial Linux-onlyness of it.
Who do you expect to invest the money for the equivalent tasks for your two laptops as Acube invested for their Sam board?_________________ All glory to the Hypnotoad! |

Most people care about price. I doubt many would miss the comment on how $500 is likely an overpricing of this product. But feel free to believe what you want to believe of course._________________ Pegasos2 G3 running AOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2.0 Amikit user, tinkering with Icaros VM (AROS) EFIKA owner Amiga 1200 |

I'm putting you on the NO list for potential orders. BYE! Unless you still think people don't believe your versions of propaganda, even though you have made repeated posts. If they don't believe you by now, they probably won't believe you no matter how many posts you make. Right now, your posts keep the listing at the top of the thread count! LOL

You don't need ebay to have a Paypal transaction with someone.
AW.net certainly offers messaging.
Buyer Protection programs from ebay/paypal are mostly to cover:
* Item Not Received (INR) or * Significantly Not as Described (SNAD)
If you are truthful and honest as a seller why is this so significant to you?
And as for customer database. You are selling two units, what kind of database do you need to keep track of the two developers you supposedly want to sell to?
And again, as has been pointed out numerous times, if its on ebay it may not go to an Amiga developer, which is what you claimed you wanted the machines to go for in your initial post. And thats why Gleng and I have been primarily asking you.
If you don't care who you sell to thats an entirely different story, in that case ebay makes a lot of sense. But you are the one that came here to advertise for free.

No sweat. If its ever Amiga compatible and I want to buy it I'm sure I won 't get a worse price from Amiga.kit or Tigerdirect.com, etc.

No need to say goodbye. I'm not planning on going anywhere.
There is no propaganda. You've simply been asked a series of reasonable questions by quite a few posters. You've chosen to ignore many of those reasonable questions. And in the meantime I've simply sought out some of the information you would not provide and reported back the results of my findings to the group (many emails bounce-back from Lime - a major Compact Computing news site that previously reported on the Limebook thinks your price is overpriced). Etc.
And as to this thread staying at the top of the list or near longer. Is that selling any of your Limebooks (does not seem to be) or is it showing everyone enough of how you conduct yourself to decide if they should ever do business with you. Obviously from what you are saying, you think its going to help sell these machines. More power to you then!_________________ Pegasos2 G3 running AOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2.0 Amikit user, tinkering with Icaros VM (AROS) EFIKA owner Amiga 1200 |

Thats what insuring a package for value with a carrier (i.e. Fedex) is for. Its your stuff to sell, do what you want. Again, it just dosen't seem to synch with your goal of selling to Amiga developers. It is what it is. You won't answer, you won't answer. Thats your prerogative.
