@L8Knight

In the words of Catherine Tate 'wat a load of old sh**''

Once again, just rebranded china hardware

also just noticed on there site

Quote:
In 2001, Amiga, Inc. entered into a license for the development of AmigaOS 4.0 with AmigaOne™ Partners, collectively Hyperion VOF and Eyetech Group Ltd. The license agreement was terminated on December 20, 2006.

surely, there either shooting themselves in the foot, or trying to say AmigaOS is not licenced.

Oh!

That kind of tablet.

I thought maybe someone was re-branding laxatives or something.

Back to work!

Haven't got a scooby doo why this thread is in "Amiga general chat" !!!

Is Amigaland so sad these days that because some ultra cheap & nasty tablet which just so happens to a have a very tedious link in name only to the Amiga is actually something worth talking about on an Amiga forum...

Or is this what being an Amiga user these days has become to some, ie: if it's got the name Amiga on it's exciting news and some folk would actually be dumb enough to buy it because of that...

Perhaps this might interest those with a fetish for anything with the Amiga name attached to it... "ooh think I'll get me toilet unblocked cos it'll be done by Amiga:...

Amiga Plumbing & Drainage...

Geeza brek fur gawds sake...

I think (or at least hope) people are clever enough to realize, that this is just about branding. In fact Amiga Inc/iContain does the same thing as CUSA: Put a name-sticker on already existing hardware with no relation to the Amiga-past. CUSA only makes more noise about it

A sewer by any other name would still smell the same.

2011 - The year of the rebadging.

Its funny because it just goes to show that with the right amount of money anyone can get the rights to the name and the cheap Chinese producer. I am sure that I have seen these things on managers special at Maplin here in the UK.

I wonder who is going to come out next with Amiga branded stuff.

I almost clicked the link. Then I realised it was Amiga, Inc, and figured it had nothing to do with Amiga. Just in time ...

I was going to suggest that you really meant "a tenuous link", but tedious sounds so much more apt.

Why on earth would they put that on there? You don't see me adding on my resume that I worked at company X till a certain date and had to leave since I burned down the building?
