@ExiE
Really? A list? : ) the app costs 5€, the basic account nothing.
The client costs 5€ and as soon you buy it you get a basic account with 1gb storage.
No monthly fee.
The client will cost 5€ for every platform.
As soon you bought amigaos version for example you can install it on all of your compatible machines.

So if you like to use it on amigaos and aros and morphos and you are happy with 1gb storage you would pay 15€ in total once in your life.
As long you are a basic user you will only have 1gb(2gb after beta) independent how many clients you bought.

If you need more storage you will be able to pay 50€/year and you get a pro account.
This will give 10gb storage.

In any case there will be no traffic limitation.

Still complicated? : )

@m0lebrain
: )
You can pay with with whatever you like as long it is accepted by PayPal.
5€ are a refference... so $ Price would be whatever 5€ are worth that day.

EDIT:
one note about making it "free"

Due to the fact that developers, releasing stuff in the indiego appstore, and the Bonus Programm which honors them for doing so with indiecoins you could say that it is free for them... more or less.

Also still not all of my former customers have requested a 5%cashback for there orders. Which could be 5% of 300€ for example...

So some People could get it for free.

Please be Patient : )
You will be able to buy them in the indieGO apsptore or from www.ares-shop.de (voucher)
with a bit delay also from www.amicloud.de (which Points for now to a dummy page)

hmm interesting but quite different from post #75 where you wrote
Quote:
Basic account will cost a "one-time" 5€ with no monthly fee.

and the pro account is still unclear about clients price.

@ExiE
Hmm... my english is not the best but I tried to say the same in both cases : ) (sorry for the confusion)

the app costs 5€ - this is correct

Basic account will cost a "one-time" fee of 5€ .... is corect as well, BUT:

The one-time fee is basically the Price you pay for the app.

One-time fee = you buy the app once and so it becomes bound to you indiego-ID.
From that Point you can install the Client on all your Computers with the same OS (for what you have choosen to buy the Client).

--------------------------------
In Post 75 i tried to give a example:

"Means:
If you buy the AmigaOS 4 client, you can install it on as many AmigaOS machines you like.

But if you like to sync your AmigaOS4 machines with your Windows machines, you will need to pay another 5€ for the Windows client. Than you are free to install it on as many Windows machines you like as well."
------------------------------------
So all you need to pay for are the Clients for the OS you would like to use.

As soon you buy the Windows-Version it doesn't matter how many Computers you have... as Long they use Windows.

Example:
You buy the AmigaOS4 Client

Price: 1x5€ or 500indiecoins or whatever PayPal does accept
- no monthly fees

Now you can install it on as many AmigaOS4 machines you like, you have to Login on each machine with the same user-ID.

You will get only 1GB storage during beta (after beta we raise it to 2GB)

If you like to have AmigaOS, MorhOS and Windows versions:

Price: 5€ for each Client (15€ in total)
Again you can install them on as many Computers you like

You will also get only 1GB during beta and 2GB after beta.

No monthly fee up to that Point.

----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Pro accounts will follow later so the final conditions may change... Right now the conditions would be as follows:
50€/1year payable in one single payment. The Server will give you 365days 10GB storage.

Whatever in order to use a pro account you will have to buy the Client first (not again)... if you bought it to use the Basic account you can just upgrade and buy the "Pro Option". There will be no extra/different Client.

: ) I hope you can follow my weird thoughts

One OS, unlimited synced Computers, 1GB (later 2) = 1 x 5€ (once in a life)

50 euros for 10GB is rather pricy, good luck :)

@kolla
You miss the point of "unlimited traffic" ; )

Dropbox costs 9.99€/month. 1TB is a lot space! But you have a Bandwidth-limit of 200GB/day. Heck maybe you run also into the 100.000downloads a day limit... imagine you back up a aros harddrive full of trillions small kb sized files (maybe you have your Amiga Games WHDload collection stored there as well...)...
What would this mean? No backup within one day!

-> The worst thing:
Your account gets blocked for a full month! You paid 9.99 and get shit!

This is not enough for me:
http://www.amiga.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-68927.html

Within 10 minutes the links were dead meat. I paid those 9.99 and a hour later again dead meat and wasted 9.99 because i didn't read about the bandwidth limit.

Different Approach... The focus is unlimited bandwidth.

EDIT:
As a note.. I am using multiple services.. but having one without a traffic limitation is worth it

Hi again,

this time I can show a first run of the aros build.

The video is a bit lengthy in parts because i described it to a friend while recording..

What you can see:
- First initialization asking for the indieGO!-ID
- How to purchase AmiCloud to activate it
-> The fact that downloads don't happen inside the App Store but in an extra app called DLM (many people didn't now this because the window is behind the App Store window and iconified directly after connecting to the server.
- Sharing and disabling public files

...
so compared to Windows build we need an extra icon for minimizing/iconifiiny the video.

AmiCloud for AROS is now available as part of Broadway distribution and stand alone in the indieGO!-Appstore.

The latest AROS build of the Appstore is available here:
http://aeros-os.org/guistore/AROSi386.zip

AmiCloud costs 500 indieCoins.
Coins can be bought from www.ares-shop.de
In the moment everyone who buys indieCoins can get AEROS Plus for one Platform of his choice for free. (Just a hint)

In a couple of days it will be possible to buy coins directly at www.indiego.rocks/buy

At ares-shop.de you can also get gift-cards as alternative way.
Ares-shop.de is driven manually, so if you order I will take a bit until I email you a code.
The new buy page is automatically driven, so if you a impatient try this : )

Please report any bug, if at all.

During the beta you get only 1GB storage without traffic-limitation. After the beta it will be at 2GB or in other words always twice the size everyone who buys it after the beta time will get.

Tommysammy is working on a AISS/ icon set right now : )

->
AmigaOS4, AROS, MorphOS and Windows builds are now available others will follow asap

@phoenixkonsole

Sorry I have not red all the threads, sites about AmiCloud, but would like to ask one question.

What about Amiga filesystem attributes?
(e.g. executable, script flags, file comments.)

@Lazi
Those attributes are stored in the binary and so they are copied over as well (1:1).

If you edit them on a windows machine, and think them again the other way around, they could be deleted.

Today we released the 68k version in the indieGO!-Appstore.
www.indiego-gaming.com

So far we released clients for:
Windows, AROS i386, AmigaOS4 and MorphOS

The AmigaOS 3.x version requires RTG.
Mainly interesting for AROS68k, Amikit and other virtual environments...
Maybe fast Amigas can handle it as well...
