Manjaro Mate updated to 5.0.
I thought the updating was going to fail, but I reran the updating and it worked.
This is about 2.1 GB of apps.
Sincerely.

Ouch. It certainly looks like it is in the right place. I would suggest apt reinstalling to register it in debconf then apt remove again. But, can you build the deb from the make file? Then you can instal lthe deb with dpkg or on desktop which should replace the older one.

I will say that Aros PPC works on my Manjaro Mate Distribution.
Except, the mouse will not work with the track pad.
I did not try to go any further.

Morph-OS will not boot for not being able to find open bios.
The iso is 3.13.

I notice that there is a patched version of Openbios on Amiga Like Oses.
Downloaded but nothing further.

Pegasos uses SmartFirmware. Which is like OpenFirmware. But likely has some internal differences. It does support CHRP boot. One test would be to boot a Debian PPC Linux image or similar which has a Pegasos boot script.

@Hypex

Would the Openbios work from my iso directory?

edit:

I extracted the patched Openbios file in the same directory as my MorphOS iso file and it worked.
Getting the screens to match is a pervasive exercise. :D

http://zero.eik.bme.hu/~balaton/qemu/amiga/

Tested Aros ppc with a mouse and does not work.

@Hypex

Is there support for Ubuntu Remix?

UBUNTU REMIX DVD FOR AMIGAONE X1000

I bought this from Amigakit a while back to show some support.
This is like Ubuntu 12.04.

Well that's getting somewhere. I didn't know if OpenBios would work. Having a Pegasos image would be good but it looks like it wants an elf. I suppose trying to boot a Pegaos OS4 CD won't work like that? The page you posted boots MOS in Mac mode.

@all

a message from Zoltan

1. The non working mouse he saw with AROS is probably due to a bug in AROS
because I get the same with latest AROS iso but works with an older iso I
had before. There's nothing that can be done in QEMU with that, ask AROS
people or use an older build to get working mouse.

2. Hypex talking about pegasos2 and OpenBIOS has likely nothing to do with
Trekiej's questions and just confusing things. If they want to try
pegasos2 emulation they need devel version from qmiga.osdn.io and only
MorphOS boots on that yet so not much better than what's already there in
upstrean QEMU with mac99.

3. Pegasos2 emulation is still unfinished work in progress. It needs a
pegasos2 ROM image, OpenBIOS does not work with that. OpenBIOS is only
needed to run MorphOS on mac99. OpenBIOS also does not work and is not
needed with sam460ex.

Maybe letting them know the above would help them to avoid getting more
lost than they already are.

the best way to know something is go on Zoltan web site.
http://zero.eik.bme.hu/~balaton/qemu/amiga/ here you have alla the info and patch need to run os4 and mos on qemu and it command configurations.

@tlosm

That is where I have been getting my scripts from. :)
I do see the mention of Sam460ex and a bug that keeps MorphOS from running.

I need to look in this thread for the creation of a Virtual Drive to do the installation of AOS4.1FE Sam460ex edition.

Thanks a plenty.

In QEMU? No, it would need X1000 emulation. If that is what you are asking.

Unless they have PASemi Electra board emulation. Which is the root of the Nemo and all that. But it would be painful booting it by hand even in emulation.

A normal Ubuntu 12.04 disk image, if you can find one, would likely work better with Mac emulaton I'd say.

I think I have 12.10 some where and I do believe that these can be downloaded.

So finally we will have a "pegasos2" machine in qemu, this is the update message in qemu ml

"Add new machine called pegasos2 emulating the Genesi/bPlan Pegasos II, a PowerPC board based on the Marvell MV64361 system controller and the VIA VT8231 integrated south bridge/superio chips. It can run Linux, AmigaOS and a wide range of MorphOS versions. Currently a firmware ROM image is needed to boot and only MorphOS has a video driver to produce graphics output. Linux could work too but distros that supported this machine don't include usual video drivers so those only run with serial console for now."
Signed-off-by: BALATON Zoltan

All should be ready for next qemu 6.0 release.

@Fl@sh
Thanks for sharing.
I still want to install Sam460 version of Amiga OS4.1FE.
I need to find out how to make a drive for installation.

Docs I need.

Manjaro Mate seems to be good at keeping up with the latest releases.

I wonder how often qemu gets updated. Seems fairly regular.

Sincerely.

@Thread

I found this in qemu docs:
qemu-img create myimage.img mysize

Is this what I need to get an image created?

The next line is what I want to type.
qemu-img create sam460hdd.img 30G

All else fails I will type it in Termal and see.

Thanks.
