I spotted this in a video about the A1060 sidecar (guy has two!). Go to 1m35s into the video and note the floppy drive and the overall front bezel on the rightmost "A1000." What is that thing?

Looks like I can't embed a photo on this forum.

@blakespot

Looks like 2 A1000's, each with a sidecar (with 5 1/4" floppy drive) hooked onto the expansion port of the 1000's.

@Paul

Look at the floppy drive. That’s not an Amiga faceplate..:

It looks like the eject button on that floppy is too wide. Maybe the original went bad and someone put in an after market replacement... It looks a bit like the button from a 3000.

@JimS

The eject button is below the drive — that’s clearly not an Amiga 100 faceplate. And there’s no front door hatch for RAM expansion. And the external drive’s faceplate exactly matches that of the A1000’s faceplate.

What the hell is going on here?

Oops, my bad. Now I see what you are referring to with the wide floppy button in the middle and low. A1000 owners always had to be resourceful. Maybe the owner is good at fabricating plastic. Wouldn't be that bad to cut a new hole, fill the original and repaint. If I remember right, there were also some changes in the early ones re: badging and LED's.
