Hello! :)

I've had my Amiga 500 for a loooong time but I no longer have the space for it, especially when I move out into my own flat. I was wondering - if I was to sell it, would it have any impact on my income tax? I had a look through this tax calculator ( income-tax.co.uk ) earlier trying to figure out what I'm going to pay because of my new wage, should I add this sale to that number?

Hoping someone here has more idea how this works than I do

Cheers!

@Hiplid

I dont know the tax rules in your country, but I doubt that small personal sales like this counts like an income.

For it to be treated as an income you also must have earned money on it, like if you buy it for a smaller amount and sell at a higher price.
And even if you did earn a little on this, it must be done on a bigger scale to be regarded as an income.

As an example I can say that single personal sales with profit below 4000 NOK, (about 400£) will not be taxed in Norway.

@Hiplid

If you sell your own belongings, there's no tax to pay.

If you start up as a business selling old Amigas, that's different and HMRC would be interested

@Hiplid

Don´t sell it, it´s like gold, value rises with time...
