| Problem with audio driver for tabor probably come from the fact that there is no fast-working developers left who know how to write audio driver. I can imagine easy, how you can hire developer for some task, and it will take years and bunch of all kind of excuses, while another can do all for month. Just where found those fast working devs ? With network driver once they annoyed by non delivering in timeline, they just hire another dev from morphos team, and they do it right. Probably with audio driver they have noone to choice from. _________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites |

That's a common refrain and just plain silly.
The issue isn't finding qualified developers it's Hyperion, which is effectively insolvent, steadfastly engaged in a protracted and pointless legal battle and incapable of delivering anything.
The OS has been frozen in carbonite for a decade and could have (and should have) been rewritten by now. Instead, there's a futile effort to write drivers and port software from donor platforms to keep a gasping system alive.

| New stream address for Sunday:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sGFlVYemsU
Alex Carmona has completed his presentation.
Coming up will be.... Paul Rezendes will be demoing MorphOS, followed by a gaming demonstration with Bill Borsari and then Alex Perez of Rabbit Hole Computing. Bill will then have another interview with Daniel due to the audio problems on the original. Last edited by Sbaitso on 14-Oct-2018 at 07:32 PM. Last edited by Sbaitso on 14-Oct-2018 at 07:29 PM. Yeah it's not like A-EON are able to pay suitably qualified people to work on drivers. |

Most of the time we may never know the full facts.
The Tabor audio driver was started by the same developer who worked on the X1000 (Nemo) audio driver .
Also the framework for the development of the Ethernet drivers to be delivered through Hyperion (Presented in the Amiwest 2018 Devcon ) looks very interesting.
You may have heard Trevor's comment about work on ExecSG to be speed-ed up . It would appear that this key part of AmigaOS 4.2 is being developed outside of Hyperion .
It is probably best not to be so critical without knowing all of the information .
