The PDF says, "subject to availability", indicating that option 2 only applied if the 'Shoe Boxes' didn't sell out! I do not expect an option 2 to apply now. However, since Matthew is at SWAG Workbench tomorrow I'm sure someone could ask him to confirm _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." Then why (in the latest news, which is the new FAQ) would he mention the selling out of option 1, followed by information about price changes -after- the early adopter program?

There will be one hundred A1222 Plus boards manufactured exclusively for Early Adopter customers |
That seems quite clear! The only way that option 2 will now surface is if say 10% of the AAA bundle customers say to themselves, "Hey, I've got a nice shiny shoe box, a mouse, an extended Viva Amiga Edition and a few OS3.x application CDs and that will be fine for now!"
... That is an unlikely scenario but if it happened then there would be 9 or 10 additional boards going spare that could be 'reserved' with the 20% deposit arrangement discussed in the original PDF. Otherwise, A-EON / AmigaKit have their first 100 A1222 Plus prospective owners so why is option 2 needed?Last edited by BigD on 24-Jan-2020 at 04:59 PM.

Option 2 seems like normal state of affairs. Option 1 is a bit odd. Some say it is to gather funds or to measure interest without a preorder label.
But there is not much here to be confused about. Order can be placed for A1222 or not. As for myself I am stocking the popcorn.
What I find amusing is the claimed three years of beta test for A1222! I believe the long beta test is an opportunity taken due to some other delay and not a cause in itself.
Interesting times ahead?

Actually Trevor spoke of the history of the project and the delays in his interview with Doug at Amiga Ireland.
