| I've finished the first part of a new Amiga-generated cartoon, where my character, Arry, decides to try cannabis.
I imagine AW.net has rules about drugs in its ToS, so I need to see what the admins say before linking the movie here; I have been trying to PM them but they seem to be very busy!
I don't know who the most active admins and mods are; if you are reading this, please respond! _________________ SEX SUX

| Dearest of Friends,
"This was made with Amiga" has indeed become the justification to show off the most awkward and personal products of spare-time fiddling!
I expect one day to be subject to a picture of a man lying on the floor, his skull cracked open, a bloodied A500 next to him. Caption: "THIS WAS MADE WITH MY AMIGA!!!!!".

This shouldn't be a problem. Many of the screenshots in the gallery are obviously the result of heavy drug use. And I'm pretty sure that the guy on MEGA_RJ_MICAL:s avatar is on bath salts._________________

| Here's a panel you may want to incorporate into your lovely little narcotics comic.

| I did put a disclaimer at the beginning of the movie, "I don't condone the abuse of illegal substances, " the keyword being "abuse," not "use," as I believe cannabis should be legal if used responsibly! _________________ SEX SUX

I always liked the warning on late 80s / early 90s arcade games! It really stuck with me into my adult life! Very effective and cannabis especially modern skunk varieties can and do cause psychosis including hallucinations or delusions which are characteristic features of the mental health condition schizophrenia. It effected a friend from primary school and severely affected his career prospects for the best part of a decade!

Maybe they're all stoned. That *would* explain a lot.

Seems like Arry has gone a bit awry. A strange word used in describing films. At first I thought Arry decides to try cannibals. Haha! That would be ironic. Kids, don't smoke cannabis, instead eat some cannibals! |

I wouldn't recommend any recreational drugs for very young people, especially adolescents! their developing brains are at much greater risk from being permanently affected.
I was also brought up around countless anti-drug messages, "All drugs are bad, mmm'kay?" When I was older I did my own research, and learned that is completely inaccurate; any drug can destroy life if abused, but if used correctly and carefully, many drugs can save lives!
Many people are starting to agree with regards to cannabis, it's legal for medical and recreational use in several American states, and here in the UK you can legally get hemp and CBD cannabis extract, so long as it doesn't have THC (the good stuff.)
Many legal substances are worse than cannabis, no-one has ever directly died from a weed overdose, while countless people have died from alcohol poisoning and tobacco smoking! Although we don't want to admit it, I think we all know big pharma pulls strings to keep cannabis illegal because it has been found to be a good alternative to the drugs big pharma makes money on, so if people used medical cannabis instead it would put a dent in big pharma's profits!
………………………………….
OK... off my political soap box (for now.) The movie is on my YouTube channel, if any of you want a direct link, PM me. _________________ SEX SUX

We started talking about what the requirements were. And Jay Miner was being told by Dave Morse, I want a machine that can animate cartoons in hardware.

Dave Morse had been VP at Tonka Toys which is why he wanted to make an animation system to "entertain all those kids". That was at a time when an animation system would have cost many hundreds of dollars (average new car cost then was about $10,000 and the Amiga 1000 was introduced for $1285 retail). Today, an Amiga "toy" could be made for the cost of a meal and few kids have even heard of the Amiga.

The Mods are like the Greek gods only taking heed of the affairs of men at times of great calamity or interference by characters like Prometheus!
Seriously though, we couldn't report you even if the content was unsuitable because the button's link is broken when I attempted to report a scammer! Yes, I have noticed AW.net has been less active recently, it isn't just me who hasn't been so- I usually only pop in here when I have something new and Amiga-related to announce.
I spend a lot of time on Facebook under my real name, where I have joined a group, Norwich Amiga group, which includes East Anglia, my area! I've already announced my YouTube channel, and will continue to announce new work as and when!
Love the city of Norwich, as they are pretty open about cannabis, at least in shops like Ali Bongo and Head in the clouds, and one or two market stalls! _________________ SEX SUX
