Yes, it seems a quite nice x86 board to run AROS on, but obviously you need to code drivers for networking, graphics and maybe even sound. But VESA mode, SATA and USB might work properly at once. The only way to be sure is getting one and trying AROS on it. |

| @paolone The price is good 39 dolars, only the hard work to make the drivers. We wait the board will be popular than Raspberry and it could be the new Amiga hardware for little money.

there is an intel SBC on Amazon already and for a bargain price of $34. I think this also is a nice board for AROS if drivers can be developed for it of course!

If it does work, it would certainly benefit the AROS project to have a hardware reference board that is both inexpensive and currently in production.

Check out the review of this board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpMhsrsiV6Y
This board is already EOL...and build for industrial robot use. (See around 14:10 what the board realy is about)
Dont waste any development time on this board.

Ahh what a shame!! It is quite a good SBC for the price. Oh well! waiting for next great Intel SBC or AROS on Raspberry Pi. |

I'm not so sure the CAPA13R is in the same class as the Raspberry Pi 4.
Pi4 6.25W max CAPA13R@2GHz 30W max
Pi4 85.6mm x 56.5mm = 4,836 CAPA13R 146mm x 104mm = 15,104
Pi4 $35 min CAPA13R ?
Power draw of the CAPA13R is nearly 5 times and board area over 3 times that of the Pi 4. The Pi 4 is easily fanless which cuts end user cost and increases reliability, especially for embedded use. CAPA13R will likely be significantly more expensive as well. CAPA13R performance will no doubt out class the Pi 4 and likely offer a better end user experience for a PC user but the Pi 4 will remain the choice for most embedded applications and price conscious consumers who are satisfied with the performance and features.

These SBCs are more of a mini-PC and embedded clone war. Competition here needs to do more with less as Moore's Law comes to an end. Sadly these systems look fat compared to the 68k Amiga.

Neat idea, but I found 4gb unusable for windows last time I was in that state. _________________ All glory to the Hypnotoad! |

| @billt It was though for some Linux distro. But for a future AROS for these boards wtih 4 GB will be perfect. |
