Blog post, for anyone interested.

"Thirty five years ago I became an Amiga user. One of the first, actually. This is a meandering and reminiscent post of sorts, written to mark the Amiga’s 35th anniversary and the 35 years I have known and loved the system..."

@blakespot

Great story!

A friend of mine bought an A1000 in Nov. 1985, and it was my first exposure to Amiga. Sadly, that system is no longer with us -- years later it wouldn't boot, so he threw it in the dumpster. Maybe it just needed to be recapped.

@klx300r

Seeing an A1200 in an independent computer store running Walker by Psygnosis was my ‘must have’ moment! No Atari ST could handle that arcade fluidity and digitised sound!

I guess the introduction of the A1000 was like that x 100 compared to green screen IBM PC and monochromatic Macs.
