I agree, I thought so too when I saw that Ad. Facebook just cut 11,000 jobs last week because of Zuckerberg’s Metaverse obsession. I’m not sure why he’s so obsessed with it. It looks worse than the Wii Wii. The Metaverse fantasyland is cutting hard into the stock price and company profits. Shareholders are not pleased. It makes our Amiga obsession look innocent in comparison. _________________

On a side note: Most tech stocks are overvalued. It's just a shame that when shareholder dreams are dashed, its the employees that bear the brunt.
Also, you can get into the metaverse with a Quest 2 starting from $399 USD.

I agree, friend Agami,
the Metaverse is the right strategy for anyone interested in collecting data,
serving ads,
and exerting control.
I am too tired to delve into the whys and hows,
and anyway this merry bandwagon of nimrods would turn the discussion into benchmarks
and jerking off on ppc instruction sets in the space of a few posts.
It's also the most utterly wrong thing to ever happen to humankind, and oh god, it WILL happen.
My friends, if you thought Internet ruined the world and threw people into isolation,
and mental states such as newlight's, hotrod's or qbit's,
wait to see what the Metaverse will do.
The giants will screw up execution,
throwing disjointed teams and tons of money to it,
just like Microsoft did to Search,
just like Google did to Social.
And then, an underdog with a small dedicated team and a shoestring budget,
will come out of the blue and conquer the market,
and the next generation will be done for good.
LET'S SIT AT OUR THINLY FRAMED AROS WINDOWS AND WATCH IT ALL HAPPEN,
