Though the Commodore LCD was never produced, there are a few prototypes still surviving with CBM engineers Jeff Porter and Bil Herd. To my surprise, Steve Gray and Mike Naberezny, et al, are trying to build a Commodore LCD out of currently available parts! And the Commodore 128 is part of this LCD resurrection! The C64/128 market is much more fun and active than Amiga!

Speaking of the 128's VDC ... I'm really surprised no one's released an enhanced one yet like the Kawari's VIC 2 successor or the C65/MEGA65's VIC 3...

It runs on it's own clock and with extra registers could be a true co-processor...

@Thread

The group working on the project as well as the Commodore Historic Society is looking for a video posted on YouTube sometime in the time period between 2005-2010. A teen shooting the video was taken to a basement of a collector which had a Commodore LCD machine on a shelve along with other rare stuff such as a C65. If anyone remembers this, please post the URL of the Video in this thread. There are very few of these machines known in existence and knowing the history of why that individual came to own one of them could be important.
