It's a nice mechanism but the problem still remains that to use the data, you have to load it back in from the RAM disk.
I can see this being useful for implementing basic volatile caches for some application, but it's not a generic solution to the 32-bit address space issue.
AmigaOS4.1 you won’t need to use file io, of course argument is should be 32bit os, but 64bit os with some kind compatibility layer for 32bit, but that’s lot more complicated to do.
I’m currently thinking about using it for undo buffer, for holding frames, in animation or something, like that.
