I have another question now. I've seen pics of UAE where the display is showing your game, app, workbench etc withough the great big black border around it. I imagine the border is because the classic Amiga could display quite large screens beyond the border of normal viewing. |
To run in 640x480 add these lines to your config:
gfx_width_windowed=640 gfx_height_windowed=480 gfx_lores=false gfx_linemode=scanlines gfx_center_horizontal=true gfx_center_vertical=true
To run in 320x240 use these:
gfx_width_windowed=320 gfx_height_windowed=240 gfx_lores=true gfx_linemode=none gfx_center_horizontal=true gfx_center_vertical=true
Cheers, Rich

Oops, I must have missed that one. I did look, promise.
When I run UAE using a zip file in the floppy drive, amongst other things, EUAE gives me this output:Quote:
checking zip file 'Fun:+ADFs+/SlamTilt.zip': 'SlamTilt(Disk1).adf':901120 [check][selected][ok] 'SlamTilt(Disk2).adf':901120 [check] 'SlamTilt(Disk3).adf':901120 [check] 'SlamTilt(Disk4).adf':901120 [check] 'SlamTilt(Disk5).adf':901120 [check] |
Is there a way of selecting the different adf files within that zip file or is this not supported at the moment?

Correct. This feature hasn't been implemented yet. Sorry. On the bright side, you can use ADF, IPF and FDI images (optionally compressed with gzip or packed in a zip archive).

Oh yes. The ups FAR outweigh the downs.
Now my last question(s) for the day. I have a few games that I have installed using WHDLoad & playing them like this makes them a little more user friendly, no disk swapping for one .
What would you recommend with regards to storing these, having a small hard file for each game or having a larger hard file where they all live? The advantage I can think of with a small hard file for each is they could boot straight into the game. I spose it's really down to the individual really.
How do I create a hard file?

First of all, thanks for the emulator - it's great! I have a question though
I'm trying to set up scripts to directly run various games. I made a suitable uaerc for launching the game directly, and it works nicely enough. However, I couldn't figure out what to put into the "amiga.screen_type" setting to avoid the requester popping up..? |

Hmm. Yes. This is not terribly straightforward to do on an Amiga. I'll look into it...
For now, see http://www.pcguru.plus.com/uae_manual/harddrives.html
The hard drive config options are covered in the 2nd half of the page.

Set
amiga.screen_type=custom
and E-UAE will run in it's own custom screen. It'll automatically pick the best screen mode based on your settings.
Or set
amiga.screen_type=public
to run in a window on the (default) public screen.

| Hi, just installed WB3.1 and its applications to the usual place of the E-UAEs' Work and Workbench. Many games happen to be in .adf format downloaded from Back2Roots.org. Does anyone know how to make them become the normal amiga-files we use to see in a native AmigaOS? I would be very grateful
