| Good news,
I will try it out. Is this a native version or is it still a 68k compile?
I must admit that the upgrade offer is very tempting.

| @Controller: It is (still) an 68k compile but has PowerPC plug-ins. Native version is in the planning phase.
@Lizardrock: To be honest, we don't know yet if it works on OS4. It works on Poseidon in any case.

| Is this version going to be a stripped down, but fully working version, or a demo? I have used for a long time the 1.5 version which was covermounted on a CU Amiga issue, I'm curious to see how it has evolved since then.

| @Varthall: It is a fully working version, but obviously not as powerfull as the full 4.5 Studio version, i.e. no animation features à la DPaint as in 4.5.

| Hey Ron,
So it's still 68k with PPC plugins ? Are those PPC plugins atleast OS4 native then ? Why put it on OS4 Depot then....
For the tablet, I guess we'll have to wait for the OS4 USB stack to broaden it's support :)
Groetjes,

| I've just ordered too
Although technically I don't have ImageFX Lite yet, I suppose my copy of 4.1 will do instead _________________ OS4 Rocks X1000 beta tester, Sam440 Flex (733)

Hi Martin,
It will go on OS4 Depot because it is a deal to include IFX Lite with OS4. Although of course it will also work on 68k - for now.

| @Lizardrock:
That is the idea, yes.
Of course, what exactly comes on the CD is up to Hyperion.

| WARNING: I ran the installer through in "expert" mode and it replaced some of the system libraries with old versions.
The files are as follows and will need to be re-copied from the OS4 CD:
Classes/Gadgets/chooser.gadget Classes/Images/bevel.image Libs/amigaguide.library
(Libs/rexxmathlib.library is also in the archive but, at least on my system, didn't get copied over the newer OS4 library)
@ComputerCity Is it possible to fix the archive and re-upload it? (I've just looked through and it is using "copylib" so I'm not sure why this has happened)

| Hi CHris,
Thank you for that info, seemed odd to me the installer asked for my OS4 reg no. , thought it could be a scam so skipped this part.
Anyway got a working ImageFX so obviously not.

| Hi Chris_Y
"it replaced some of the system libraries with old versions"
Phew, I thought I'd done something seriously wrong myself! I had a quick go with ImageFX, then rebooted, only to find no Amidock, and a series of requesters telling me OS4 couldn't find the following files:
button.gadget checkbox.gadget chooser.gadget clicktab.gadget integer.gadget layout.gadget listbrowser.gadget scroller.gadget space.gadget getfile.gadget getfont.gadget slider.gadget window.class
I copied over the whole 'Classes' drawer from the OS4 CD and everything seems to be back to normal. |

?
