My OS3.9 theme is based on the old "new yam" package ( www.amigaos.dk )

As always nice one cYbO

"coming soon!" ...why? Why not just post the news when the set's released, its just an icon set after all, surely it doesn't warrant a "coming soon" news item, grrrr - half the icons look like they're from XP anyway

cockney_dave

It's a straight rip from Thunderbird. The mozilla mail client. (well, the icons anyway)

Looks good though.

I definitely agree! It looks much more professional!
But, there is one slight error. The logo shows what looks like an orange? A yam is a root vegetable similar to a sweet potato. Here is what a pair of yams look like:

Here is a drawing of a yam with vine attached:

It might be an to have a yam to the right of the name, and the vine from the yam trailing above the name.

I'm quite sure you already know that Yam stands for Yet Another Mailer ?
Anyway, nice pictures ;)

cockneydave: cybo always use alot of time on his packs and design , showing previews is a natural thing , alot of people think its so damn easy to rip or make theemes that it sorta want to as one simple question...

anyway, teasers is important... i know of MANY who still doesnt know what FPSE is as they missed the NEWS item here on this site some weeks ago.
You know, not everyone idles here on the board (or type) as much as some other on here (like me )

If you are skilled for dooing simmilar stuff then why on earth havent we seen either previews or final skins from you?

chin up and happy trails.

@cybo , keep up the good work, i for one appriciate it even if its ripped or not as i know its not JUST to copy over the icons and make bg pics!.

cheers

@Bodie_CI5

Here are a few more YAM pix that support your theory! Click on thumbnails for larger images:

I can't figure out how to get the last thumbnail to display. I think it has to do with the parentheses in the url?

@Ashitaka

Yup, I do know that YAM stands for Yet Another Mailer. It is my emailer of choice, although it seems to create checksum errors on my HD from time to time during the .index file updates. I think it originates when I am in the process of deleting a message just when it decides to update the .index file. After that, things may seem normal, but the checksum error appears within several days during one of the .index file updates, or I believe when IBrowse occasionally finds the bad spot during its caching. Things first go normally, until things suddenly stop loading, and I discover the H.DISK light staying on, and nothing happening. A cold reboot and DiskSalv to the rescue (Validate or Repair)! Recently, after validating my Work: partition, I lost an entire directory containing around 7 or 8 megs of emails I was saving over the past few years, after losing around another year of emails before that!!!! Undelete in DiskSalv didn't work, showing the deleted directory empty, even though the bulk of the files haven't been overwritten yet.
