Thanks!

They are good so having them coding for OS4 is a great thing.

"What happened with the Windows API emulator project for Amiga OS?

Answer:

This was started as a project which we were working on for a certain company. Even though parts of the Pentium IV emulator were already created and the implementation was already defined, it did not make sense to work on this when we did not receive any payments anymore. This would have taken too much time and money and therefore it could not be realized in our spare time."

Garry Hare said they are paying AmigaDE application developers.
Perhaps this windows emulator project would be worthwhile to fund as well...

Another thought... Coyote Flux seem to be fans of custom HW. I hope they like MiniA1 with it's "custom" radeon GFX chip.

If they have a free A1 you can bet your ass you get a lot of good software in return. Anyone?

Do you think that maybe it might be best to wait until they produce something of substance and quality before hailing this as such a good thing?

Adding a developer is one thing but adding a good developer with a solid track record is something else entirely.

Produce something of substance? Go to their site and check it out. JMiner? PPC680x0? Call me silly but that counts for something. And when it comes to hardware they are the people. They are excellent in PPC Assembly.

I mean, I could take your word for it but I won't hold my breath based on what they produced for their last employer....

(Before anyone jumps in, no-one knows both sides of the story except the people involved, so don't waste your time.)

I think we can do without any anti-Coyote Flux or any other OS4 developer politics thank you very much.

These guys are really good. They know the hardware like no one else. If these guys are not worthy of an A1 to code on then who is? Tell me who?

Had the pleasure of having some in depth discussions with Rakesh and Sharwin at Computer City almost two years ago. They are nice people with a big heart for the Amiga community and the classic platform. Looking forward to their AmigaOS4 related efforts.

And they are not afraid to show their passion.

Thanks for the interview Coder!

@Coder

Nice interview, good to see more developers looking to make OS4 software (We need all we can get).

No-one but you seems to care about that story except you anyway. All references to that area have been confined to the project rather than the events surrounding it. (Not that it's difficult to work out what happened, based on what happened to others)

Besides can you not see the total irony in bringing up thier performance at Thendic as a point against them, then telling people not to bother discussing that point as no-one except those involved knows what actually happened)

Total joke.

JMiner...couldn't work out what it did! Photogrametery?? And naming an application JMiner ..c'mon (is this a pun...JpegMiner ?)

If you had ever seen anything about this project back when it started, you would have seen it essentially took a 2D photograph and created a 3D model of it, allowing you to rotate and view the image at angles not originally shown in the photo.

The early previews of this software running looked pretty cool.
