I hope there'll be some in stock in the UK, new job means a bit of spare cash but even if I can afford the board I won't be able to build a system and I don't have any spare parts to salvage :( AmigaOS4 development is still slightly out of reach for me

We have also been asked about full sized A1 boards. There may be a new model by early next year. More details as they become available.
Does this mean the XC or an updated XE?

Any idea on how many boards? I'm assuming all dealers will be getting delivery of some at least?

And umm, yeah- about that 'maybe a new model'....?

XC would be great but for now an updated XE would nice too as there are still plenty of people wanting one of those boards.

Frankly that is why I suggested yesterday that people call their preferred
Amigaone dealer. Then we might know the answer to your question.

Best Wishes,

or even show the prototype (XC?) of the larger board at BB3

even it the board isn't going to be produced, would enjoy seeing it.

@ Dealers

It would be nice if you could do some kind of pre-ordering like SoftHut does.
So that you'll know exactly how many boards you can ask from Eyetech.

I think thats whats been happening - Eyetech get confirmation/orders for a certain number of boards (enough for a decent sized batch).
Alan then coughs up the wedge to get it going (a percentage I believe), and then recovers this through sales of completed boards.
IIRC of course!
you're probably better looking up Alan's most recent interview on this very site.

The number of boards in a batch shall be three. Three shall be the number of boards in a batch. Two boards shalt thou not have in a batch, lest thou continue production on to three. When thy batch of boards reach four, thou hast produced too many. Five is right out.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist it, the way you phrased your question

Monty Python fans everywhere are going to correct my quote, since I'm doing this from my rather Swiss-cheesy memory. Anyway, it would have been nice if Alan himself had taken the 2 minutes to post the news item himself, rather than relying on third parties to spread the word. Does he have stage fright or something?

My only problem now is I'm investing in my own project. Don't think I can spare enough right now to buy a µA1. But we shall see. I expect this batch to be gone in no time, because OS4 really looks like it's going to get to the finishing line in style (even though it's felt like forever for some those who waited )

I really would like to see the XC being available!
I would buy it at once!

The same goes for the microA1-I.
