Software News   Software News : Wet gains docky support
   posted by Chris_Y on 20-Nov-2005 14:07:36 (4955 reads)
Wet is a program for OS4 that displays the current weather either in the Workbench titlebar, as an icon on the backdrop or - new in v4.1 - in AmiDock. Further information can be found on the website.

Being able to show the weather as a docky is the most requested feature for Wet. This release has preliminary docky support, and will now also work if your Amiga is sitting behind a proxy server.

Cool!

Wet is such a depressing name though (if it doesn't make your mind wander away to certain body parst of a certain sex..) how about renaming it to 'Sunny'? :)

@Curty
You need to enable it in the Settings menu while you are in Wet (then save the settings to make it permanent). It installs itself as an "application" docky on the main AmiDock dock, so there is no need to do anything else.

@all
Thanks for your kind comments.

Chris

@Tonton_Pascal

It'll be the start of the underlining of the text, even though you have no name selected. Small bug I think.

And I wish you could remove that horrible underlining, make it an option or something because it's pug ugly and makes the rest of the dock look crap. I assume it's only the application dockies which have this "feature" to distinguish them from normal dockies as the Epistula one does the same.

@SZAMAN

Thanks for that. I will certainly give it another go (I had some problems the first time I tried to set it up ) !
